very nice it will be my next personal backpack. yes I saw your loyal assistant lol don't forget to pay him well some kibble and lots of love. I was wondering are the stitches on the handle purely decorative or does it help prevent the leather to stretch c.noel vancouver canada

Thank you. It's a good knife roll and can be adapted for those who have different knives. But let's be honest, there are countless exceptional knife rolls out there.

I wonder why you glued the parts together at this point 7:49 / 13:31 - before adding the piping?
@VasileandPavel
@VasileandPavel 16 күн бұрын
Although it may not seem like it, this was a pattern I found difficult to make. In this tutorial, I was working on the fourth version :). I didn't know exactly how large the back would be, so I sewed the parts together, attached the front to the back, cut off the excess, made holes, then detached it and continued with the piping. Of course, now that the pattern is complete, I no longer need to do this.

If you get a piece of a4 paper and tape it into a loop you can slip the body of the unstitched quiver into it to keep it roughly curled up so that it stops uncurling while you're stitching the edge.

as much as i like some of your patterns, i have no idea why you (and many other pattern creators) insist on not using stitching chisels or an awl. it baffles me.
@VasileandPavel

It's much easier to work with round punches than with pricking irons, which is good for someone just starting out. Moreover, pricking irons come in various sizes: 3mm between holes, 3.25mm, 3.85mm, 4mm, and so on, whereas holes made with a round punch can be made anywhere. I have wallet patterns for pricking irons that haven't been successful, and I also have a wallet pattern for round punches that sold well. And as you mentioned, other pattern makers also create patterns for round punches, probably for the same reason.

@@VasileandPavel it is beginner friendly, i agree. i used the hole method when i first started as well, but i quickly switched to chisels since i find the look much much more appealing. but that's just me.
