would love an option to run either red/white (fire rescue) or green/white (security) or just amber

Its a nice truck. However this demo truck it kind of one of the least informal trucks I have seen at least show off some of the different configurations and options with the truck. Not impressed this video could have been done better

Nice looking vehicle, like the angled traffic advisor on the rear. The console inside, what’s the thought behind extending it all the way back? It doesn’t appear to open or have any storage in it, so is it not just wasted space?

PLEASE always remember to put the red lights on the drivers side and Blue on passenger side… the visor lights are the correct way. You can have the blue on the drivers side long as you have the red flash both lights… otherwise the red is always on drivers side…. Other than that looks good..
@911RapidResponse22 күн бұрын
Remember this is for demo only. Police is driver side and passenger is for fire. We can switch that in programming.

Love the blue light "pump on" feature. Worth the price of the rig alone!
@markfryer9880Ай бұрын
Why go with a petrol engine pump when the truck runs diesel? The CFA here in Victoria went away from petrol powered vehicles and pumps after crews were killed because their vehicles couldn't drive due to fuel starvation in the extreme heat conditions at the Fire Grounds during the Ash Wednesday fires in 1983. Following the Corronial Inquests and recommendations, all new vehicles were diesel along with slip on pump/tank units for Strike Teams. More lessons were learnt about Extreme Fire Conditions during the Black Saturday fires a few years ago. Mark from Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺

Why is there flat forestry hose on a hose reel? In 45 years of working Wildland fire I have never seen such a thing. You would have to pull every inch of that hose out to charge it.
@IFlow14728 күн бұрын
Maybe for a extended hose lay, get you 200’ in then If you need more have your hose pack with you to extend further.
@AppalachianPatriot28 күн бұрын
@@IFlow147 That’s what hose trays and the rolled up hose and packs are for in the cabinets. I just never heard of keeping flat forestry hose on a reel. No course I have ever taken or taught has used it and no standard talks about it. Getting all the air and water out of the hose will be a nightmare not to mention cleaning it. Flat hose in wildfire situations is meant to be left in place between refills of water. Reels are taught to be used for protecting the equipment or within close proximity of the vehicle while remaining mobile. I guess I would have to talk to the person that specter it to understand.
@IFlow14728 күн бұрын
@@AppalachianPatriot to me looks like a quicker more simple solution , instead of having to stop and connnect hoses you’ve already got a set footage ready to go. Fire tactics always evolving, I’d do agree also its something I’ve never seen either. Would be nice to see pros and cons of it. Just like the ultra high pressure line, starting to hear more about those also.
@AppalachianPatriot28 күн бұрын
@@IFlow147 The thing is pulling 200 feet completely out before getting water to flow. It’s ok if you are going to pull it all out every time. I haven’t messed with the ultra high pressure. My area has seen it as more trouble than it’s worth. We rely on lots of foam and water for our heavy fuels. Every time you use that flat hose you would have to remove it to clean and dry it. It’s great for storage. That’s the only benefit I see. I’m going to research it. I see flat hose only for extended operations.
