You can take along 1 extra passenger for practice laps (time trials; only the driver). You will probably want to bring along a chair for them since after a few laps, you will want to focus on driving.

The Corvette C8 has the PDR feature (included with z51 pkg or as an option for non-z51 vettes). Insert an SD card (glove box), go to info system and select PDR, select "video overlay" to TRACK mode and press record when you are ready. At the time of this vid JJ was using a Tanfoglio "Gold" 38 Super. He then went on to LIMCAT and now Berretta, The Tanfoglio GOLD :Eric:: was used by Eric Grauffel and JJ. A lot of customizing from the trigger, grip, magwell, mount needs to go in to this gun and even then the compensator is not ideal for keeping the gun flat in rapid competition. BUT both Eric and JJ won a lot of matches with it.

The Tanfo is a really flat shooter, quick acquisition, easy disassembly for routine cleaning. I train with J.J Racaza who uses same Tanfo. Both our guns are modified with after market parts. Cons: a) Factory parts are available, but out of stock frequently b) Factory parts may not hold up to the rigors of USPSA demands. Disclaimer: I have since picked up and Infinity Open and fit and feel are not comparable...HOWEVER, I still enjoy the Tanfo and use it for Steel Challenge matches because of its transition speed. Keep a gunsmith on your speed dial, J.J in Nevada and J&L in Va can tuned them like an Infinity.

If you ever have the opportunity to train with JJ Racaza ...seize it !!! Watching his match videos or this little snip-it is nothing compared to being there "live". He presents a concept, creates a drill, critiques you on the drill (in a motivating way), sets up a scenario (compilation of the drills) and then has you perform. This is where i all happens...He will watch and comment, ask you to redo, watch and comments, redo etc until he feels he built enough muscle memory for you to take it back to your own training. BTW: That is not some new firearm in his hand,... it"s a New Jersey "Italian Hoagie" (amora de gabbagul wit cheese). He took 2 bites, calculated the calories and used it as a prop for the rest of the day.

A great day of competition followed by 2 days of training with JJ. This was his 1st Stage at the competition and 1st Stage of Steel in a number of years. He was smokin the steel in subsequent stages.
