My story is much too sad to be told But practically everything leaves me totally cold The only exception I know is the case When I'm out on a quiet spree Fighting vainly the old ennui And I suddenly turn and see your fabulous face I get no kick from champagne Mere alcohol doesn't thrill me at all So tell me why should it be true That I get a kick out of you Some they may go for a cocaine I'm sure that if I took even one sniff It would bore me terrifically too Yet I get a kick out of you I get a kick every time I see you Standing there before me I get a kick though it's clear to see You obviously do not adore me I get no kick in a plane Flying too high With some gal in the sky Is my idea of nothing to do Yet I get a kick You give me a boot I get a kick out of you

Truly great entertainer. Met him one Christmas when he visited the Wedgewood Rooms Southsea where he was due to perform. The place was crowded with various companies celebrating their Christmas office party, he was very friendly wishing us all seasons greetings.

Given the singing is absolutely identical to the album, I’d say they are lip syncing. Look carefully at their mouths. Of course they are both superb singers but it was common practice at the time with so called live performances of recorded music.

How much is live and how much is a studio recording mimed to? No criticism, just curious how they made these. (I do find the lady's highly operatic singing to be a bit out of place, she could moonlight at Glyndebourne)

Had great pleasure of meeting Danny (not in drag) when he visited a venue where he was going to perform. It was filled with people who were celebrating their work's Christmas dinner, Danny made a of greeting each table and wishing us seasons greetings. It was my first Christmas office party in my new job, meeting Danny was the icing on the cake.

This is from Scrooge 1970. At first, they sang this song thanking the man for dying… But after his reformation, it goes back in history and they thank him for being wonderful. Well done!

Hello 😁 sorry, but I can't find your post anymore - you wrote that Simon Bowman was one of the most handsome men of his time.,. ✨oh, he still looks fantastic🤗✨⭐🌟 his performance with Lea in Manila sounds almost even better so many years later and the only thing that is different about his appearance but also so sexy for me is his SilverFoxy - I love SilverFoxys and he is still one of the most beautiful men who are allowed to perform on stage and make girls' hearts beat faster... ✨💫 (excuse my bad English, I'm from Germany)
