I don't wear makeup, but I have bought a tiny pack of ziploc bags from the drugstore, each about 1.5"x 1.5", for carrying pills. They're lightweight and slip into my pocket.

Great ideas for repurposing these containers. FYI, if you should become over-run with cosmetic containers, Terracycle also takes them.
@AmyGood6 сағат бұрын
Hi Janet, great tip! Repurposing cosmetic containers is a fantastic way to reduce waste, but as we continue to use them, we may accumulate more and more. I had never heard of Terracycle before, so thank you for introducing me to this company. Knowing that they accept these containers is an excellent backup plan. ♻️

Solo asegúrese de etiquetar cada botella para no confundirse, especialmente si tiene varios sueros y aceites. ¡De esta manera todo estará bajo control y no habrá sorpresas inesperadas! 😄

I LOVE handwritten letters 🥰💌 I just started writing to four new pen pal friends and it has been a bliss to reconnect with slow communication 💛 Personally, I think there are no boring letters; I love to hear about a snippet of one’s life. We learn so much from it! Let me know if you’d like a new pen pal friend too; I’d be delighted. Have a great week, dear friend 😘 Marcia (And I’m so sorry for your precious lost artwork 😢❤🩹)

Hi Marcia, I'm so happy you found joy in pen pal communication! It reminds me of the old days when people would write to radio stations to request their favorite songs and have their messages read on air. It's wonderful to connect through such a thoughtful and personal medium. I agree, there's always something special to learn from each letter. Thank you for your kind words and support. Have a fantastic week! 😘 I would love to be your new pen pal, but honestly, I am terrible at responding (it took me three weeks to reply to that postcard). I think you might be disappointed 😅

The projects are great, but as long as manufacturers wrap everything in plastic, sometimes in triplicate, there will never be zero waste.
@AmyGood4 күн бұрын
I completely agree that it's crucial for companies to change the way they package their products. Manufacturers have a significant responsibility to reduce plastic use, and as consumers, we also play a role in driving this change. By supporting sustainable practices and being mindful of our choices, we can collectively push for a more eco-friendly future. Thank you for highlighting this important issue! 🌎🌱

What I like is that most of the projects are simple, using simple materials. No spray paint or pricey craft materials.

Thank you! I'm glad you appreciate the simplicity of the projects. When it comes to recycling, less is better. I enjoy using basic, easily accessible materials and don't dress them up further because, at the end of the day, it's meant to be eco-friendly. Avoiding spray paint and expensive craft supplies makes the projects more approachable and better for the environment! 😊

I'm loving finding ways to do things that doesn't involve heavily scented products. This was awesome, thanks. I bought a 450g bag from Amazon and am going to do some of these 😊 Question: i bought a T-shirt from eBay that just REEKS of Tide pods or those stupid Gain scent beads... I thought of trying the citric acid on it to get rid of the smell but its a black t and according to the Google 😁 the colour will bleach out.. any suggestions?? Ty
@AmyGood5 күн бұрын
Hi thunderverna, I'm glad you found the video helpful! For the T-shirt, you might want to try soaking it in a mixture of white vinegar and water (1:4) for about 30 minutes before washing. This can help neutralize strong scents without bleaching the colour. Make sure to wash it separately and air dry to see if the smell is gone. I've used baking soda on smelly shoes before, especially with my kids and their feet. I sprinkle it inside the shoes and leave it overnight. By morning, it usually absorbs the odours. Good luck, and let me know how it goes for you! 😊
@thunderverna4 күн бұрын
@@AmyGood I've actually already tried vinegar, AND baking soda, both separately and together. I got this shirt ten days ago and still can't even try it on!! I don't know why people use such extremely scented products on items for resale..this was actually a brand new shirt that had never been washed ànd I could smell the stink through the plastic mailer !! I've used two boxes of baking soda (the normal small size) and a four liter jug of vinegar in total trying to get rid of the smell. I think I am going to have to risk soaking it in citric; it's black so maybe it'll turn an interesting colour. 🙄

Hi, I am ur new subscriber.. Ur videos are very soothing.. Can you give me a solution to control the spider? ?
@AmyGood8 күн бұрын
Hi Sara, you can mix a few drops of essential oils like peppermint, eucalyptus, or tea tree with water and spray it around your home. Spiders dislike these scents. You can also use a mixture of vinegar and water (1:1) and spray it in areas where you commonly see spiders. The strong smell of vinegar helps to repel them. Also make sure you seal cracks at the doors, windows, and walls to prevent unwanted insects from entering your home. Spiders are actually good creatures because they help control other insect populations, but I understand wanting to keep them out of our homes. I hope these tips help! 😊
