The best advice? Go have a cup of coffee! 😊 Wonderful tutorial; clear and to the point. I am an experienced painter, but in oil. I always struggle to keep from overworking watercolors. Your videos are essential for me. Your marks are minimal but efficient. You take breaks and let the paper dry. I mean DRY, really dry. I need to work on that! Trust the process and let the water do its job. Congrats on your book! I will have to order a copy now!

Awesome painting,I'm very new at water color just curious,Are you using one hundred percent cotton paper ? and whats the name brand of the paint do you use ? Thanks.
@LoisDavidsonArt2 күн бұрын
I always use 100 % cotton paper and use mostly Cotman student quality and Winsor and Newton professional watercolour

Thanks for the tips,very practical and helpful I can't believe you have only been painting for 6 years!! I love your tutorials. I learn some thing new each one and they give me ideas to try in my own paintings from my library of reference photos . I have been painting for three years now,not as much as I would like to, however I have seen improvement.

The paper I use most is Fabriano Artistico 100% cotton 300gsm cold press. I use it because it’s vegan friendly but also because I love it. Sometimes I use Bockingford which, as you say, is excellent. Again, 300gsm cold press. While Bockingford is not made using gelatine, they do use wool rollers in the process, which may not work for some vegans. I live with it!
