I am applying for a job that needed me to go for further information on their QR Code. I had been avoiding using these things because I thought it would be a much bigger deal or I needed a more expensive phone or something (although I did put the reader on my Apple iPad), but only because my T-Mobil LG regular cell phone is thrashed! I did just what you said, I Googled QR Codes and they have readers recommended right there to download. I got the reader (which was free) and downloaded the information all in minutes, however.... it started with you and this video........ thanks immensely!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who had issues with QR codes. Luckily, I had some videos much like this one show demonstration. The type of phone you have also matters apparently. It's not so simple for us who aren't familiar. But I am glad you and I both know how to use them now.

So what's the point? So you have to have an app to read it and you have to have the camera open? I do most of my work on my laptop so I have to then transfer the scanned QR code to my laptop, so again I ask "What's the ******** point?

iPhones don't need apps today, just the camera itself. QR codes are meant for when you're out and about with only your phone, not for sitting down working on your laptop. Instead of someone having to fumble in a web browser typing in a long URL, they can simply scan the QR code and it will take them to the desire website/page.
