Blow cigar smoke in Senator Tuberville's face. But gently😮 The man has got to know we have all got limitations. My theory is I can speak another language fluently but my awful English gets in the way Rep Ralph Norman. Hei Peggy Noonan. Buy Ron or Byron? High Flight BY JOHN GILLESPIE MAGEE JR. Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings; Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth of sun-split clouds,-and done a hundred things You have not dreamed of-wheeled and soared and swung High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there, I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung My eager craft through footless halls of air .... Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace Where never lark nor ever eagle flew- And, while with silent lifting mind I've trod The high untrespassed sanctity of space, Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

The crackpots and these women episode. LEO How could you possibly remember that ten years ago there was a 188 million dollar debt increase off a 22 billion dollar deficit? BARTLET [hand in chest] God, I was right? LEO Ah, see, that’s what I thought. Bartlet laughs and LEO smiles. The senior staff walk in. BARTLET Everyone! Come in. Come on in. Hey, listen up everybody. Zoey’s down from Hanover. I’m making chili for everyone tonight.

Josh was one of the canniest political operators to ever work in Washington but he was a fundamentally decent man who was not doing it for his own advancement or as a power grab. He served at the pleasure of the President because he believed in what they were trying to do. He is also understand the difference between moral, ethical and legal. Whilst Toby was the true moral centre of that team Josh ran a close second. Toby's moral compass was guided by his religion whilst Josh's was guided by his childhood traumas and a sense of survivor's guilt...

It's crazy watching this all these years later. Not just because the world endured years of half-measures to contain SARS-cov-2, not just because I'm going to be on an airplane to New York City (and changing trains in Times Square), not jut because I remember reading the same article in the 1990s that talked about this threat (that Aaron Sorkin probabky read too), and not just because "Ave Maria" is a favorite piece of music for my mom, dad, and fiance. It's crazy watching this because all these years later, there are fewer examples of friendship greater than when Allison Janney says, "You really are very sweet sometimes."

Sure anybody can go to college and get student loans and be buried for the rest of their life. One of the greatest lies ever told To Us by the Liberals was that going to college and getting a degree would somehow guarantee a better form of income for all people no matter what. Yet a huge amount of people that I've talked to that have bachelors are doing nothing in their field working at McDonald's or being a waitress because there is no need for that where they are and to change where they are is to change their whole life their family and their heritage. It's better now to go to a tech school kind of like the trades that the father used to teach his son and the mother would teach her daughter. This whole higher education stuff led to Academia full of itself hubris and self-righteousness which in my personal opinion has destroyed the youth of America unlike it's lauded goal of trying to make it better

Oh gee look its the preloude to covid 19 who would have thunk it.. besdies that small fact that DISOLVING ILLLUSIONS the book written in 2011 talked about they hyperhestia that surround pandemics and how vaccinations are of almost no consequence because natural immunity is far more powerful..shesh 14 years ago they had this fear and it came to pass all for naught were still here

Covid wasn't smallpox. Covid was like the Spanish flu of 1918. It came in, did some damage and peoples immune systems adapted. Smallpox is orders of magnitude more severe, like Josh described. That's why we eradicated it. That's why there are only a few samples of it in the world and they are guarded more heavily than nuclear secrets. The thing about a bio weapons that would be comparable to smallpox is that no sane country would deploy it. Such a virulent weapon will inevitably make it's way back to the originating country and do just as much damage as it did to the target. The only way it would be viable is if you simultaneously mass produce an effective vaccine but that would kind of tip your hand as the guilty party and leave a solid chance of you getting a taste of nuclear Armageddon. No, only the craziest of terrorists would deploy such a weapon but crazy terrorists aren't likely to have a hyperadvanced bioweapons division.

The music transitioning into Ave Maria right as Bartlet begins talking about smallpox is such a beautiful reference to the moment where Josh is explaining that the real catastrophe is going to be nothing more than a vial with a deteriorating rubber cap thrown on the streets in Times Square- all while Ave Maria plays in his office.

Josh's moral compass is formed by loss and grief. He never wants anyone else to feel it. That's my take. And he's passionate and he's harsh and he's possibly the most vulnerable person on this show.

Biological warfare. Anticipating Covid-19. A vaccine is needed for survival. If 100 people in New York City are contagious, the number of individuals likely to contract the invisible disease, increases linearly. In other words, 10X, then 100X, far greater than exponentially. Intriguing, how a television show, offered an inside and an insight - one might say a gimpse, as to the leadership manner in which a competent Commander-in-Chief, and his staff might act. We will see whether in reality, we.learn anything from a fictional television show in 2021. Biological Warfare - an undetectable enemy,.one breathes, within the air.
