Sometimes it just isn't yours. If you're a good mechanic then don't forget the last step. You either have to exorcise it or reach an entente and make peace with the ghost haunting it. You've got to remember, in those days people loved their vehicle: car or bike. They were often mean people too, and they committed evil crimes. The one thing they liked in life was that thing. So the attachment is persistent

My first bike was a BSA C15 250 c c . This Blazer was a rehash of that bike made for the American market in an attempt to stave off bankruptcy . But the engine was the same and suffered from the same problems . In an attempt to compete with the Japs they increased the horsepower and the big end could never cope. Also the regulator put in the wrong place caused the wiring to burn out. In my old age ,, 79 , for nostalgic reasons I foolishly bought one only to have the same problems, I now ride a Honda PCX scooter , an amazing machine so easy and reliable but bland compared to the Tri\Bsa C15. But it didn't give tranquilly if you stopped you could not be certain you'd get started again.

fun, but that is why I stopped riding old bikes. I want a reliable bike with an eclectic start that starts most of the time! 😊

Brought back memories of my 1986 Honda XR-250 and my 1990 XR-250 any time I happen to drop them while riding in the woods. They were a bear to get running and there were time I was like WTF and wanted to just leave them there and walk home .. lol

That Triumph really reminds me of my past '78 XT500s (two) that I commuted on in the early 80s. Kick only with a manual compression release. Motorcycling at it's most pure & elemental. I can relate to his rage when the bike wouldn't start. I kicked mine over in a rage once...

Bike was teaching rider a lesson,,, is not the destination, is the journey, the sky, the wind, the birds, the calm in the water,,, relax your mind and enjoy the simplicity of the best around you,,, is all Zen.

Late to the party here, but what a great short movie! What's lost on some, is it's a kind of metaphor on life. You don't anticipate the small inconveniences that show up in day to day trivial things until...shit happens and it just can defeat you if u let it. Lol, I've owned/own old bikes and they are both a joy and can drive you bonkers! Patience, as in life are key. 🙂
