as a guy who never played at milsim west but have a fair amount of experience in french milsim wich is very close in many ways, i absolutely love playing as militia, it's more intuitive when you're a newcomer, you have virtualy no limitation for your loadouts and you can pull a lot of crazy kit both visualy and in terms of playstyle all that for a fraction of what a NATO/RUSFOR kit would have coasted you, and you know what the best part is? building that kit is so easy and cheap that you can spend all the rest of your time and efforts on the non combat stuff such as your sleeping gear and food wich will make your life 10 times easier than the one who'll most likely freeze to death in theyr highspeed low drad operator kit that coasted them so much they didn't had any budget left for a woobie and a tarp

Iv been going to REV events for a few years now. Airsoft in a roleplay setting can be such a cool combo when done right. Its cool to see more games with larpy mechanics jump into the scene! Be a nerd, have fun!

I love that you brought this up. I don't get to go too many role-playing events where I live and some people just don't get it. They end up ruining the events treating them just like normal skirmish but when it all falls together, nothing is better.

My first LARP-y Milsim, I decided to go as a goat herder, and would wonder around being annoyed at the bluefor troops for being in my way. By the end of day 1, they stopped searching me - which came in very handy when it came to snuggling across checkpoints. A great weekend,

As a huge cyma fan boy. Love their aks. Used them for over 14 years. Recommended them to everyone. I held a few lcts for the first time the other day. The next day I ordered one. Cyma is fantastic... For the money. But they don't even come close to a lct externally.

This game was amazing. The atmosphere with the vehicles and the blank fire really set the stage of a more serious match. I think the thing that really set this apart from other events was the command staff. They had Gun Gamers staff in key leadership roles from Commanding Officer to Squad leader. I have had inept command in the past at more serious events and it can totally ruin the experience. This is not the case at Gun Gamers Productions. The leadership was incredible. Our Commanding Officer made smart decisions that did not result in suicidal charges. He rotated squads well so that even those who did not physically prepare for the event could keep up through the entire 24hr duration. My squad Leader Patrick was a baller. He made smart decisions and gave a decent amount of responsibility to the fire team leaders so that we could make quick decisions during the battle and give advice on future movements. Patrick really made the event for me, he was always asking how we were doing on supplies and just overall had a great attitude. He taught us many things about tactics and mapping which led us to become increasingly effective as the event went on. Thanks guys, we need more events like this!

Ilm almost 50 YO and I’ve been playing Airsoft for 5 years. I played paintball when I was younger and add more fare share of DND and other pen and papers games. I’m part of La Compagnie des Griffons Blancs (White Gryphons Company) here in Québec and we focus on the role play element in our games. We have NPC’s, Tactical Force (the good guys), Op-Force (the bad guys) and something civilians. The games are missions oriented. We use comms, drones, vehicles and props. When I play as Op-Force I wear black with an AK and I use an accent, I swear and I « insult » the Tactical Force, all in the spirit of the role play! It’s so much fun this way and more immersive! Keep on larping!!!

Wolf cola is for bodyguards and by bodyguards, it's also the only energy drink with the power of a crow. Airsoft is the modern version of civil war reenactment.

Having fun with the ridiclious aspects is what makes a good airsoft milsim great. Like having a superstitiuon to always do a "warriors dance" before undertaking a mission in the airsoft game.

I've LARPed in multiple states (PA, NY, DE, MD, NJ, VA). While there are similarities, there's also differences. These differences led me to leave that community completely, and stick to airsoft. I cringe when people compare the two.

I think Airsoft as a competitive sport is not inherently wrong, but a honor based, trust based competitive sport is a short track to arguments and disagreements. We dont have markers like Paintball, and the BB's and ranges are at a different scale. Airsoft I think excels when used as a foundation for LARPing. Its glorified cowboys and indians. Ballahack Revelations and The Wild I think are the best formats of this. Ive gone entire Revelations games without firing a single BB, just following the story lines, or helping people. It is first a LARP, second, a airsoft game.

honestly I think milsims kinda falls under that category as well while roleplaying isn't the main part you're still building out a kit/cosplay and pretending to be on that faction

CYMA is the most reliable, LCT really disappointed me. my CYMAs and My E&L are reliable. I remember when the cm.00028 AK beta aeg that u speak of, came out and changed the world n CYMAs reputation. Right after the UTG MP5 did.

Never was an airsoft guy. Always kinda associated it with little kids playing with toy guns. Two years ago a friend invited me to an airsoft game and I went with him. Was fun, he borrowed me a gun, an M4 which had trouble feeding. So for the next game I bought an E&L AK-74 and and I'm quite happy. If Cymas are already so good then I guess this E&L will last me forever.

Long time viewer and hella radio dummy here. I've been on team Baofeng since my first AMS event back in 2010 after graduating from Motorola bubble packs when I started in 08 (time flys). I have no real idea on radio stuff except on how to vaguely program freqs and plug the pretty wires together. Can y'all make a video on why this radio is better for us simpletons. I've seen some Baofeng issues but it's usually user related. Look forward to your future content as always.

If this gun had Colt tradmarkings, it would be legendary and worth the price. It would effectively be indistinguishable. But instead it has that weird "Avalon" trademark that I think looks goofy.
