I have a very similar setup but with flexfuel and meth on e50 its making 950whp. Traction has left the chat lol. Just ordered a 15 inch conversion and drag pack. 8 second street car. Great looking build buddy

I had two type R mufflers installed 3 weeks ago. At first I liked it, but now it's obnoxious. My neighbor complained about the cold starts. The drone inside is awful. It's causing vibration and rattles. The shop welded them on backwards. Not sure if that's part of the issue also.

I'm building the 6.0 up in my Hummer h2. I know there's nothing on the planet that will make that car fast. I just want a little more responsiveness from it. And I researched all of these heads (and cams) and I'm going with the 243. But my man, I just want to say that this was the only video that I found where they actually had a side-by-side comparison and not just computer animations. Im debating between minor upgrades to my current 5.3 or go with a cam swapped 6.0. It will probably be mu daily so im wondering what the fuel difference would be. I feel like a turbo 5.3 would be best on fuel and still make a lot of power when i want it. What difference did you see in your swap as far as fuel mileage?

You forgot to show how to adjust head lights & forgot to show how Tunnel cover works do you have to take it off to put things in bed or does it fold back too cab 🤔

They adjust like the factory headlights; nothing special. Tonneau cover is just a soft cover that rolls up, pretty basic stuff.

How do u have ur catch can setup? And I was noticing ur clean air outlet on top of throttle body is capped off. And ur catch can is run to ur passenger side valve cover. I know that thier is suppose to be a line run from that capped port on throttle body to the passenger side valve cover. Thanks

Regarding the 4L80 swap, did you need to shorten the driveshaft or do anything aside from bolting it in and reprogramming the tune?

Shorten driveshaft along with the 4l80 yoke. Also need to modify the trans mount or buy the swap version. Need different trans cooler lines to. It’s not a direct plug and play swap; but not hard either. Just small details

@@Stan1le Right on. I appreciate the quick reply. I'm on the fence about building my current 4l60 or swapping in a 4l80. The plan is to add a 6.0 at some point. The truck will be used for towing (still within the stock rating) and I've been having a tough time trying to understand which combo would be best.

i just installed a complete engine from a zl1 into my SS same year as yours, will the transmission need a tune or some work to make it work with a zl1 engine. I have a 8 speed auto

Well I would have recommended a different converter for starters. You can make the 8 speed work but it depends on what you have done with the harness, ECU, and TCM. Basically you need a high level tuner to make it all work depending on the electronics as I mentioned. Your average local tuner won’t be able to handle all the electronics

How did you do the heat exchanger pump ? Did you use the same harness that was on it or the lt4 harness

Using a Whipple pump with the Whipple harness. The factory one it’s worth the effort. You cannot use a full LT4 harness without MAJOR changes and even then it will be difficult to work

@@Stan1le so as of right now on my lt4 swap . The guys who pulled the motor cut the lt4 harness . So what im doing is using the 8speed trans with the lt4 , the lt4 ecm . But the same lt1 harness and same tcm . I couldn’t run the 10speed without getting a whole new harness plus I didn’t think it would do much of a difference in the 1/4 mile. Only issue im having is with the heat exchanger pump is there’s no where to plug it into the harness , so I have to somehow give it power and a switch , and the 2 map sensors need to be extended to fit .

@@559bryce- well yes that is one way to do it; mine is not a direct LT4 swap so I had to make it all work but keep it simple. Like I mentioned I didn’t waste much time with the factory pump since it wasn’t plug and play for me anyway.

Stan I'm looking for a cam similar to what you're running. You had the 224r, now the Titan 3, do they both drive pretty good? I'd imagine the Titan 3 makes more power with the 4* exhaust split. I'm leaning towards the Texas Speed 228/232, will this be too much for a truck? I've never built a heavy vehicle before, I've always raced/built 3200 lb foxbody mustangs. Thanks for your input. Looking for midrange and decent top end.

For the best of everything that 224r cam was pretty good! It's just at the beginning of the "mildly aggressive" styles so it maintains the driveability the most. My setup is optimized for the Titan 3 so it works well but if it wasn't optimized I doubt I would enjoy it as much.

I like your Titan 3 cam specs, I've had my eye on the BTR stage 4 Truck cam which is a 224 / 230 duration cam.
