Just discovered this via a random internet search for handheld synths. How dependent is the Equis on using the app for functions such as switching sound kits and looping? Does it have velocity for drum kits? What are the outputs for audio? Wondering if the Equis is practical for live performance as the unit itself without need for an app.

What do you do when you want to erase just one note? Can you hold down a button and the note when it plays to clear it?

Today you cannot edit the notes of a loop (you need to record the loop again), but it might be the case in a next version

Thanks for the udpate! Please make a video on how to connect the Exquis to hardware. The MPE section in the manual is a bit confusing and I still haven't been able to use it with midi in MPE mode.

Hello, are you using TRS type A cable ? Until such video is made and published, either your hardware can read all MIDI channels so you can use MPE mode, or it doesn't and you have to use Polyaftertouch mode (and select the right MIDI channel)

Bonjour, je trouve ce clavier super intéressant, malheureusement je ne trouve pas beaucoup de détails sur ce dernier, étant initialement intéressé par un OP-Z de Teenage Engineering, car il est très complet et autonome. L'exquis est il complètement autonome ? Combien de presets sont présents de base ? On peut ajouter des sons/samples dessus et en jouer sans PC par exemple ? Combien de boucles peut-on faire ? Merci d'avance si vous prenez le temps de me répondre car, étant guitariste de base, le côté expressif/feeling de votre clavier me plait beaucoup, mais en même temps je cherche une machine autonome.. En tout cas il est unique en son genre et il a l'air vraiment sympa 🤘🏻

Bonjour, Exquis est un contrôleur MPE utilisable avec n'importe quel logiciel ou synthé hardware ou modulaire. L'application fournie permet d'importer des VST/VST3/AU et créer des boucles (11 pistes x 4 boucles) et une séquence de 11 événements (captures de l'état du morceau)

It can act like any MIDI controller, but no specific commands (yet): in standalone (without our app), you have the 4 knobs and buttons sending regular CCs (values customizable very soon)

I plan to use it standalone, without a daw (except when I record audio) so I appreciate being able to map things for when it's NOT CONNECTED TO THE APP. Please tell me there will be an internal memory for different CC presets? One for each of my synths?

Looks interesting. Just bought one and looking forward to test it out but I have to say the demo video is not very modern and the demo song sounds very cheesy and dated. Where are the videos showing DAW integration? Where is a video showing how it works with 3rd party VSTs that have MPE implementation? Something seems “off” but I’ll give it a shot, luckily there is a 30 day money back guarantee from the vendor I purchased it from. This is just some feedback but this leaves alot to be desired. I suggest you reach out to some good gear reviewers out there and have them do a proper review because I can barely find any videos online that are not in French or AI voice in English and they don’t provide alot of information about it also those video are poorly made ,which is very bizarre.

Update: Unfortunately the quality is poor. Will be returning. When playing the notes, randomly the notes next to it will play as well. I tried to play it very slowly and a random note will play that I did not press so it’s definitely the device. I knew my gut was telling me that this was not going to be a quality product and now I’m out $25 for shipping but whatever.

Sympa cette mise à jour . J'aurais bien aimé une explication vocale par dessus. L'exquis est pour les experts et débutants. Le débutant est un peu perdu. horloge midi clock out en quoi influx le choix de sorti , usb, midi, midi et usb . Horloge en sortie , play, stop .... Le débutant à beaucoup d'info à comprendre et ingérer manque , pour le moment, un peu de vidéos explicative .Allé chercher les infos à droite et gauche n'est pas toujours facile même s'il existe une communauté . Un peu plus de facilité envers les débutants serait un plus je suppose

Normally I don't care about bundled software like this, but this app is actually pretty nice. It's useful having a simplistic scratchpad without a million knobs! Looking forward to being able to further customize the hardware settings.
