Hey, I imagine this was a college lecture video that was maybe supposed to be on private, but is public, and I wanted to thank you for that. I have been struggling hard with my database structures 2 class in college because he posts powerpoints without lecture and teaches straight from the book (which is vague if you don't already know the material), and having explanation to some of the code is very nice. I hope other classes have been going well over the pandemic, and best of luck with your future classes! Thank you for helping me pass my class!

Thank you for posting this. At 4:58 you write that myList.indexOf("quz"); would return 3 but in position 3 you have "qux" so it should return -1.

True; I came to the comment section for this part because I got confused, but I think it was a mistake. VERY helpful video though!

nothing frustrates me more than when teachers just read and explain slides without actually doing examples and explaining. cool you can read slides, i can read notes and lectures to but please while youre showing/explaining whatever you wanna call it use real examples in an IDE with real output examples otherwise to conceptualize a lot of this and retain it is more of a challenge than learning it
@Mason-hs9oz Жыл бұрын
Agreed! Thank you for your knowledge, but examples and running through operations really helps express what the slides show

Thank you so much for the easy-to-understand explanation. So much better than my professor's explanation. I think most people like to overcomplicate things just to sound smart, but you made it nice and simple.

Really good video indeed ! If I had one comment, Priority Queue by the name suggests we want something of higher importance right? But we are drawing minimum every time. So then the same logic could be applied to create a max heap for priority queue? What am i missing? Thanks again !

I dig your video. I am into it 4.26 m/s I see you used C1, C2,C2, C3 x n and etc. How did you arrived in using C1,C2,etc? Is this a guess? I really need to understand.
@CarletonMoore7 жыл бұрын
They are just constants that represent the time it takes to execute those steps.

Sir, the swap here is a swap of values or the swap of references to the values?? Thanks in advance.
@CarletonMoore7 жыл бұрын
It depends on the programming language you are using. In Java, for Objects you are swapping the references to the values.
