Nik Kershaw is without doubt one of the most gifted singer songwriters to have come out of Britain. He was one of the stand out acts of the 80's, and has continued to evolve and produce fantastic songs like this one. Total respect to the artist that has stood the test of time. I salute you. 👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏

I loved this since I first heard it come out on the late night Video Rock show. This song is still perfect and the video still matches the vibe of the space visitor who absorbs and reflects the traumas of everyone he meets until it drives him to flee. I always hoped it meant he’s returned home at the end.

The 80s in my town were so much calmer. Life was easier. Expectations were obtainable and community based. Humanity is more connected than ever now yet it is the most lonely time in human history

80s music hits different. I didn't even know this was the original. I knew this song's remix before I knew about the original. Not gonna lie. Original is best version

This is exactly what I was looking for. Something that inspires and is not too dependent on themes like attachment or love or companionship but industry. I would not be surprised if this song is used in the future for something like actual space exploration flights or interplanetary missions by SpaceX or some other entity. Infact please do a lyrical video with new discoveries in celestial bodies and photos of deep space by the new James Webb telescope. Can be used as an educational tool for schoolchildren and adults alike.

Einstein's time dilation means the moving train slows down. But Newton's classical relativity says light reflected by a slower train still speeds up. So if you say there is time dilation because of clock experiment results there must be another explanation than Einstein's.

The fact that there is an official upload of a high-effort music vid of a hit 80s song that's over a decade old with less than 100k views makes me feel like I've stumbled on a seam in reality

Wouldn't it be good if Mr Kershaw performed Red Day on Blue Street with Tony Banks, or The Lamia with Steve Hackett as guest musicians?

...and now let's hear how interesting today's 4-chord-songs ala Ed Sheeran are... 😂😂😂 I'm not a fan of the 80s - can't stand those typical productions of those days - but i prefer the fantastic songwriting from guys like Nik Kershaw, Peter Gabriel or Paul Waaktaar-Savoy. What great songs they still write today... ❤
