Ha Ha! Me too, I left there in Dec. of 2000. HHT Regimental Support Squadron S-1. I always ordered the nachos at the Outer Limits and would bring them back to the Day Room to Watch Wrestling or Football on the bigscreen.

Wow, does that bring back memories. I would actually make sure i had enough room between myself and cars in front, put my head down on my motorcycles handlebars and try and sleep a bit. Pop my head up about every 30 seconds to make sure I was good. Those early mornings were killers coming from barstow.

Wow, I was there from 1985-89, and that place just kept growing. I was there when the Burger King was put on post, and lived in the barracks when the 1/73 armor division was there right behind the mess hall. Then, they changed us from 1/73 to 1/63. Ah the memories of working on the 551's in the motorpool.

2 tours in Ft Irwin, spent almost 8 and a half of my 20 years there. It was home and I miss it very much even now. There is no such thing as an ugly sunset in the desert.

I lived on Wilderness Drive from 1988-1990. Miss it a lot. Didn't think I ever would but i really do. Fond memories of my teenage years.

Hi chula. It gets pretty windy there. The other day they shot down the contruction jobs because of strong winds, and before new years they shot down Ft Irwin road due to a lot of rain. The town its ok, but pretty lonely. Soon you 'll have a Pizza Hut, Subway, UPS, dental office and some other bussiness. Alright. Bye.
