No idea who that guy is at 5:22 but he looks like a right idiot! (Seriously, had fun at the meet and glad my little boxcab got into your film!)

Yep, this is old! The siding that crosses the road is long gone. I had relatives in Albany, so my brother and I (in our early teens) would explore these sets of rails.

Man, I would love to buy either that cab forward or the big 4-8-2 that looks like an SP MT class engine.. if only.

This is my favorite place to watch trains, it’s a shame I wasn’t alive to see the big blue. But at least got the heritage! This is unbelievably beautiful footage. Thank you for these!!!

Roy was awesome. My mom took care of his wife on hospice and he invited me over to show me his live steam engine and run it around his house. I was 17 or 18 at the time. Ended up working for BNSF for 15yrs as a locomotive engineer, before they lost their minds with their attendance policy. I remember he donated the engine to willow creek in memory of his wife. Was a good time. Wealth of knowledge that I wish I had tried to learn from more. From one rail to another 🫡.

That’s a very cool locomotive you got there I’m curious to ask what kind of locomotive it is the name of this battery electric locomotive?
@wkvrailroad93558 ай бұрын
The electric locomotive is a Baldwin-Westinghouse built as part of the original West Valley Live Steamers project in the early 80’s. It has since seen a number of revisions and upgrades. The Willamette and Kings Valley was the name of my 7 1/2” gauge railroad in Oregon. The railroad is long gone but the name lives on.

this video is 50% tension relieving, 40% envious I'm not there, and 10% yelling about grown men playing with trains. Don't worry, I took that pesky 10% to my room full of airsoft guns, RC cars and boats and he shut up. A person has to have there hobbies, right? Cheers!
