I don't agree that Birmingham is the safest place in England. While living in Birmingham I was mugged three times. Three times in 15 years might not sound like much, but I was never mugged at all in other towns and cities.

In a materialistic way, Places like the UK look amazing. You have access to more than your money can buy. Being away from family, the sun, the food, the social connections culture and sense of community. Not being able to make true memories with the people you love and care about. These are the things that make your life full of happiness, fulfilment and purpose. Working long hours in the cold to be able to pay bills and obtain shiny trinkets will left you tired and miserable.
