Muchas gracias!

Love what you do!! This is a great! It’s my dream to make movement music for kids! But I don’t play any instruments, I’m a vocalist. I’m learning how to make music on my computer though and this is so so inspiring! Hoping to catch your set in Puyallup soon! 🎉

Thank you so much for the kind words! It would be a treat to meet you in Puyallup. If you happen to catch that gig, be sure to introduce yourself. Wishing you the very best in all you are doing!

Thank you for the tip. I record via an Analogue mixer into a Zoom H2n but I use the left and right Phono outputs from the mixer into the zoom rather than the headphone output .The phono output is lower (line level I think) and intended for recording and is less likely to distort the sound with too strong a signal and therefore I do not have to turn the recording level right down ..The head phone output is used to drive headphones which do not have a preamp in them. This does require a left and right phono cable into 3.5 jack plug though. . easily available from Amazon.

HarryVerey, that sounds like a terrific solution. Well done.

is it possible to use the zoom h2 as an external micro for smartphone?

Great question, Danielelagha6755! I would imagine you can, but I've never tried it. If you find that it works, let me know. I'd love to hear about it.

@@EricOdei found a way to connect the zoom to the iphone via usb, but i am wondering if the iphone is even able to capture the quality that is coming out of the zoom....what do you think?

@@danielelagha6755- That's another good question. The Zoom quality always sounds really good to me for such a compact little machine, but would it get compromised on the iPhone end of things? No idea. I guess it's up to experimentation and listening, huh? Good luck!

You do require the driver for the H2 first in order to do this, yes?
@EricOde8 ай бұрын
Jamesbondaygee, so sorry to miss this question - a full year ago! Yikes! I did not have to load any sort of driver. My laptop, running Windows, recognized the Zoom right away. FiddlerNick, above, had some steps that he needed to walk through but that I wasn't faced with.

I had to download the H2 Windows driver. After that Reaper recognised the H2 as an ASIO audio interface and I can use it with low latency. Result!
@FiddlerNick3 жыл бұрын
For Windows 10 there is one extra thing you need to do otherwise the H2 will appear as a device in settings but won't transfer any audio. In the AUDIO i/F menu, before using CONNECT, you need to go into FREQUENCY first and check it is set to 48kHz not 44.1 kHz. If you are using your H2 into a DAW like Cakewalk you may have to set it up as the selected input device (instead of your normal interface) and set the driver mode to WASAPI SHARED if it is previously set to ASIO. It will then appear in your inputs selection just like an interface and you can select Left Right or Stereo to go to your recorded track

Excellent. Thanks a bunch, FiddlerNick. I edited the video description with a suggestion folks read your comment if they're using Windows 10.

I like that a lot Here is one of mine Why Why do the trees grow so high And why does the breeze blow on by And why does the wave always crash to the shore And why does the stone only stay where it lies Well maybe the trees love to grow And maybe the breeze longs to blow And maybe the wave only wishes to wave And the stone oh so patiently waits to be thrown 😊
