Taking care of a loved one through hospice is the hardest. My brother was battling a blood disease for a couple years then got worse. He was then diagnosed with leukemia. Unfortunately due to his other health issues his body did not do well with chemo and after 3 months stopped treatments and was home on hospice care. My cousin and I were his primary caregivers and spent his last 4 months with him. It was the hardest job but the most rewarding to allow him to be home until the end. Bless you and all you did for your friend and continue to do for your mother.

Thank you Becky! My friend has been staying over since mid June helping me with all of this, otherwise I would not be able to keep up. She's here with me probably through September.

You had the face of a child at Christmas when you opened the package. Your friend Kathy knew you needed something to uplift you. What an awesome special friend. I don’t know how you feel but I can relate. I lost my awesome wonderful mother to liver cancer and just few years later I lost my Aunt to liver cancer also. Don’t worry about things right now but just take the time to grieve. When you are ready like they say about eating an elephant just one bite at a time. Sending prayers of comfort & encouragement to you.

It’s really brave of you to share your experience with the community; I’m sure it’s heartrending. But there are so many ppl dealing with this now, it’s a comfort, somehow, to hear that others are struggling with the same thing. Not that you want them to struggle and suffer; it’s just that it’s nice to know that other people can sympathize with what you’re going through as well. Keep holding on. 🌷

Thank you Susan. It is a balancing act on youtube to keep viewers informed when changes to schedules are coming without over sharing. Some viewers don't want to hear about anything other than sewing, but that's not real life. And yes, when you read the comments you quickly learn how many people are either carrying or have carried similar burdens. What I'm dealing with directly affects my upload schedule as well as my ability to sew, so I feel like being honest about what's going on is more important than just not uploading and then coming on like nothing ever happened.

It’s just a small way of letting you know that you’re not alone. I also thought when you are feeling overwhelmed with everything going on in your life, you can take a moment to look through the beautiful fabric.

Cathy, it's so appreciated. I do love the line and I'm super excited to included in a fall project I've got in mind. Thank you so much for your generosity and for always knowing when I need a little pick me up. It really did help on that particular day which had been enormously trying.

The craziest thing is that she's a viewer! I've never met her. But she send me the most amazing and generous gifts. And thank you. I think by the fall it will be a completely different circumstance for me, and I'm ready for that normalcy again.

Friends are precious. Just wanted to let you know you are not alone. My husband was diagnosed with metastasized Pancreatic Cancer in September 23, 2022. It had spread to his liver and ribs. He passed on January 21,2023 and he was in a tremendous amount of pain. We were married 45 years. God is faithful and he helps us in our time of need! Praying for you and your family 🙏❤️

Oh Karen, I'm so sorry for your loss. My best friend's sister died from pancreatic cancer, and it is a terrible thing. You are so right about God showing up in the darkest of times. He's been right here with me since mom took her bad turn in January, and is currently delivering me into a whole new life. I gratefully receive the blessings He is bestowing upon me currently, and Praise His name for providing for me when I was at such a low point. I miss Jim so much, but I'm glad he's not in pain anymore. And I know he's watching over me as an angelic companion. Prayers to you and your family.

Ahh, Patty been there. My Dad got non smokers lung cancer that ate up his right upper-thigh bone and spread to his spine and kidneys. He was always so robust and never sick. We lost him within 4 weeks of his diagnosis. I had to take over the finances and eventually sell the farm and move my Mom in by me. She really enjoyed living in a plus 55 community for 2 years. Then she got diagnosed with Dementia and Parkinsons. Then she had a heart attack and 2 strokes one night. I have her a mile down the road from me in memory care. I don't know which is worse. Losing them way too fast or watching them struggle and waste away. You take care of yourself first so you can take care of your Mom. Prayers and wishes

Oh gosh Terri. My heart goes out to you. You truly do understand what's been going on over here. It's really been A LOT. Prayers to you and I agree. I'm not sure which of those two are worse. The situation here is going to change pretty soon, and it will be difficult yet a relief.

As always, I enjoyed your video today. It was so special to watch you open your package from your very thoughtful friend. The fabric was beautiful and I look forward to seeing what you make with it. I think of you often and hope your life will get back to some sort of normalcy soon. I recently used your Missouri Star link. The 20% discount was great plus I know that you benefit from the order as well. Have a blessed week! ❤🙏🏻

Thank you SO MUCH for using my link!! It honestly helps both of us. And I'm super grateful to Missouri Star for offering this. I can't believe how generous Cathy is to me. It's unbelievable. It was such a treat for me because it's really been a tough few months for me. The colors and the generosity really perked me up. Wishing you a blessed week as well!!❤

What beautiful colors and what a thoughtful gift from your friend. Cancer is so hard. We lost our youngest daughter to the side effects of her cancer treatment in Nov. 2022 after a 5 year battle. It is still hard to think about all she went through. She was 37 when she passed.
@PattymacMakes2 күн бұрын
Oh that's just so, so sad. I'm so sorry for your loss. Losing your baby must have been horrible for you. I know the treatments are a miracle for many people, but for so many they are horrendous. I've seen it so many times. Jim was so far gone by the time he was diagnosed that it would have only cause further pain and torture so he died a natural death. But it was really hard to see him have to go through that. I'm relieved he's out of pain but I really miss him. It's very mixed feelings about this kind of thing. You miss them so much when they're gone, but watching them live through such an ordeal is gut wrenching.

Thank you!! I'm so hoping I get my feet back under me this week and can return to some sort of normalcy. So that makes working difficult, but I could not have gotten through the summer with out her.

Missouri Star Affiliate link for 20% off your purchase of $50 or more: glnk.io/mzmmj/pattymacmakes. You simply click the link which takes you right to their website. Then shop as normal. When you have $50 worth of products, the discount will come off automatically in the check out cart. Not everything is included with the discount, and I don't have any control over that. Generally the big ticket items like sewing machines and furniture is not included, but most everything else is. Including fabric and notions already on sale. Often they allow us to stack the discount onto the sale price so it really makes it worthwhile. I do explain it more in my most recent videos if you would like a visual representation to follow. There is no limit on how many times in a month you can use it!

hello patty not sure if you’ll respond but i have the same singer brilliance 6180 , not sure if they tweaked it recently but my automatic needle threader is just not budging !! it’s not letting me pull it back what should i do 🤔 it didn’t come with a book just a manuel with pictures and a qr code that sends u to a video link which just tells you to look at the guide but i don’t understand the guide 😭🙄 would i just take the needle out itself and do it ?

Sometimes that little hook gets bent and it's impossible to get it lined up again. If you have a sew vac store, you could probably take it in for an adjustment, but otherwise, you'll have to thread by hand.
