Any Idea on where I could look to find that console? I have a 2006 Tahoe and am looking for this or a similar console to install to fit right where this one is mounted. Thanks!

The STL brand has come a long way now. Their stuff looks a lot better than the stuff they put out when first going into business. Still a cool setup though!

You should take a good look at Federal Signal. They make a very good lights/siren setup.

Today's modern vehicles are made to be as quiet as possible inside the cab. Unless my windows are down, I most likely won't hear you coming, and when I do, I have no idea from what direction the siren is coming from or going. I don't recognize povs as emergency vehicles. If you don't have the exact same equipment as an official vehicle, it's your responsibility to get there as safe as you can, not my responsibility to figure out who you are. Another thing, you're telling me no one was closer and you have to drive that far just to get to a station? No wonder it takes forever for help to arrive. I can get to the er going the speed limit in 10-15 min. In an emergency, 5 min. Time it takes for anyone to show up dialing 911, 45 min.

I can't stand ambulances that don't have air horns. The ambulance in this video is likely a van cab and chassis or pickup truck cab and chassis. The ambulances in my town are Freightliners and they're LOAD AS F*CK! If you can't see them coming, then you shouldn't be driving.

I know it's frustrating when a vehicle won't move, but however you could've easily moved into the other lane to go around them. Maybe they were hard of hearing or maybe deaf, ? All emergency vehicle's still must obey all traffic law's

I realize this was over 5 years ago but the science doesn't change. The reason people don't move over sooner is not necessarily their fault. In emergency services everywhere support vehicles are usually equipped with 100 watt siren systems. Law Enforcement, fire dept. support vehicles and some EMS are equipped that way unless they are specifically designed to have bigger batteries and alternators installed. Fire apparatus do... The Chief did a fine job responding but did you catch his speed during the response? A few times he reached speeds over 80 mph. According to the National Safety Council and others once your speed exceeds 60 mph you are outrunning the sound of your siren. The driver hears it but the public does NOT until you are on top of them. At 40 mph your siren is heard only 10 - 15 feet in front of you. Couple that with how quiet a vehicle interior is, radio playing, kids carrying on, etc. it is very possible those drivers don't know that EV is there until the last second. And yes, there are those drivers that just don't give a damn!

Why respond like that when you admit that you are responding 25 minutes after initial dispatch? Pointless and dangerous. Officer or not, looks like you responded that way because you can. Totally unnecessary.

Usually law enforcement or fire vehicles have their pa/siren speaker out in the front. I can’t see yours so I’m assuming maybe it’s under the hood. I have mine under the hood and it squelches db on the siren. Maybe mount it on that pusher rack you have on the front of the vehicle and it will be heard better.

Hi Dustin Amy I'm curious about why you have red and blue emergency warning lights on your car. Idk maybe that is the rules for your state but all I can say is that in my state of New Jersey we are only allowed to use eathier all blue emergency warning lights or a combination of blue and white emergency warning lights. Can you explain what the light laws are for your state and why you are allowed to have red and blue emergency warning lights that would be great thanks

I'm from the Penacook/Concord Area here in New Hampshire and all the POV's for the Penacook Rescue Squad have Red, White and Amber-Light's [No Blue's]. Blue Lights are Police Vehicles. And Green Lights are Security Vehicles. But every state is either the same or different.

I also have STL lights. The key to syncing the lights together is first having all the lights on the pattern you want before connect the white sync wires. Secondly you have to have all the lights on the same sync. You cannot put 2 on regular sync and 2 on alternative sync with blue wire. You have to alternate sync all the lights together or keep them on regular sync with just the white wires. Also i had to take and put two white wires together on two lights and two ehite wire together on the other set of lights then take a single wire and connect those two groups together to get all the lights synced together. Atleast that worked fjr me i have 10 pc Z-3 and 6pc Z-4 on my Toyota Tundra
