Somehow this came up in my YT feed -- thanks for posting. Faulkner's win brought back memories of my CRCA days in the 90's. Before moving away from NYC I progressed to a decent rider who even won a B race with a well timed bike throw and placed top 5 in the 40+ club championship. Now a retired senior guy trying to get back into shape. Congrats on your first B race. And most of all - have fun!

@@rubiera58 thank you so much for sharing this memory with me. I'm 40 and this is my first full season of bike racing. I got my first road bike a year and a half ago and I haven't been the same person since.

Similar story here. Do we know how many miles were covered in what time?
@LLroomtempJ10 сағат бұрын
@@JC-oz6xn . Just shy of 40 miles. Average speed was 25mph. My average power was 210. Weighted was 233 according to Strava. My FTP is somewhere between 260 and 280. I weigh 170lbs/77kg. I cramped up on the last lap and I limited my output so that I could finish the race. I got 15/34, I believe. Everything at the end was essentially my left leg and arms only

Always enjoy your videos and following on strava. You clearly have strength, you’re putting out decent power for minutes at a time. But that will burn you up early, especially since you spent so much time in the wind. I bet you’d save so much energy if you got more comfortable sitting right on somebody’s wheel / protected from the wind within a pack. Every time you were behind somebody you either moved to the side out of their draft, or you let a gap form. The skill of staying calm/not braking a ton while going into the turns will probably help so you don’t need to hit the power so hard exiting the turns. All obviously easier said than done, but I don’t think this is an issue of strength for you, maybe just working on your tactics a bit will help a ton.

Thanks for sharing your video! My chain dropped around minute 3 and lost the group... I'm number 550. Was such a huge disappointment but it's nice to see it still. Here's to the next one! I have to learn how to shoot video and add all the numbers. What program do you use and does it work with a GPX file? (also, glad you're ok)
@LLroomtempJ5 ай бұрын
I use telemetry overlay (paid) to add the data. I get my sensor & GPS data from my Wahoo's .fit file. You can use GPX data as well. I used to used Garmin Virb (free) but an update to the Google maps API made Virb unusable

The organizers said 300 people! Strictly Bicycles in fort Lee NJ - right across the George Washington Bridge. The camera is new for me. On two occasions this week, it appeared to be recording but it was unable to write the video to the SD card (it wrote 2 seconds of video for clips that were no shorter than 30 seconds). Not important video, however. I'm trying to figure out whether it was user error, camera error or SD card error :/

Very nice! I like the data overlays! was trying to find myself in your video. I was here at the same time as these riders. I remember the plaid jacket, orange sling bag, fixed gear rider 4:17 5:50 , the blue and pink riders at 5:51 and the 3 single speeds that passed you at 10:10. unfortunately I'm a little behind you and didn't make the cut because those 3 dropped me about a mile back. I'm also riding fixed gear. Now I just have to learn how to upload my video. WAIT A MINUTE!...THERE I AM AT 5:53 Blue Thule hip bag, where orange sling bag passes me. Tim

glad you were able to find yourself. This was my first year doing it. I really had a great time. I will 100% be back. I got a strava trophy for the FDR, so i've got to come back to defend it :) I posted another video of the BQE from the day. Same deal as this one. I took the downhill on the Verrazano pretty fast. Felt safe because it was empty. Some guy nearly crashed into me on the hairpin turn at the end of the course. It was really scary, but everyone made it out ok

The model has a battery compartment behind the bass and does not have a battery compartment. How are they different?
@LLroomtempJ Жыл бұрын
The battery (2 AA) in this bass does not have a special access compartment that is separate from all other electronics. If you want to change the battery, you've got to get out a screwdriver and unscrew several screws to pull the back cover off. By contrast, some basses have special battery compartments that don't require tools to open and enable easy battery access/changing.

I have 2019 SR5005 Prestige the battery compartment has been upgraded push tab it pops out … easy don’t even have to connect terminals . Love 💕 this bass cause I have small hands and it’s best deal on planet 🌎 In its price range . It’s a bass that needs NO upgrades at all. The pre amp and USA 🇺🇸 custom Bartolini pick ups sound equally great passive and active . I have an Alembic Essence bass with red LEDS ….. two thumb bases 4/5 ….USA stingray and the Ibanez is my fav bass to play cause I can get unlimited tones from it . This bass imo is best bass on planet 🌎 under $2700
