I was forced to install these in my buy to let in order to get the EPC level. They cost a fortune, are ugly and dont really work out any cheaper. I have advised my tenant to use normal panel heaters and get rid of the eco 7 tarrif. Complete waste of my time and money

They charge only if is cold in the house overnight? From 2 nights they do not charge anymore, is it because is not so cold anymore?

I've found no recent ads for this device (I'm in California) and wonder if they've pulled it due to part failures. It doesn't speak well of Dimplex UK that they see these are customers comments on their advert and see fit to ignore them.
@Laszlo844 ай бұрын
Quite confusing to use. they need better manuals! 1st. you need to set the "charging" times to charge during off peak periods. 2nd you need to select "heating source / storage" so that the heater releases only the stored electricity (heat) and doesnt draw peak electricity at the same time. I had mine charged up and it was still using around 0.40 pence / hour. Took me a few hours inside the menu options to figure it out. Now its blowing hot air as it should and my meter shows 0.02 pence /hour which are probably other electronics in the house.

If the insulation worked, they'd be okay. As it is, the whole concept of storage heaters is nonsensical. You may as well try to collect and store light.

During winter, should the main switch of storage heaters be ON 24 hours a day? Will this not attract increased electricity bill each month? Also, Input high and output low during night? And output high and input low during day? Please if anybody can guide me
@portwest4008 ай бұрын
Yes both the peak and off peak supply should be on 24hrs in the winter. In the summer both outlets should be switched off

Is it possible to change these for a led bulb? I have a Dimplex SAL 20E where the bulbs are directly above three halogen bars. Some leds are of a type of plastic. Could they possibly melt considering heat and position? Any suggestions?

Issue for me is my work schedule is nuts. I don't work consistent shifts through the week so one week I might do 4 days 1pm to midnight and then a day off then 2 days 7am to 5pm. Trying to sync my heating to my schedule is impossible. Why not just make a central thermostat for these things?

Removed a section in my camper where the entertainment area is and installed. Works great. Instead of propane furnace heat, I can use this kzfaq.infoUgkxATHBlMJwipGgVWseuAFKvDQ_5R4_lywo to heat the camper as long as it's hooked up to shore power. Only thing I do not like is there does not seem to be a thermostat. I'm presuming it has a built-in one so it does not overheat. Really like all the other color options it has to offer.

Hi Dimplex, I recently move to an apartment with QUANTUM QM150. However, I don't seem to understand how it works. Putting on the heaters even at high temperatures of 27/28/29. The whole room is still cold, I can't feel the impact of the heater at all. I just see as a waste of my electricity bill. I have watched several videos, read the manual over and over, I don't seem to get any answer. I would be glad if this can be look into and maybe further explanation rendered. Thanks

How can make my qm100rf to charge only during a certain period of the night tariff and not to charge at during the day. just don't call it an air purifier when all it has is a loose mesh of sponge. So it is physically incapable of any significant air purification. This should have been removed from the market for false advertising ages ago but I guess there will always be just enough ignorant sheep to fleece.

Storage heaters only make sense if you can get an economy 7 tariff. Why are so many suppliers removing this option? Last time I looked SSE was one of them.
