Lakers had a really good streak back in those days something like 23 or 24 wins in OT with only 2 losses. Kobe was the man even in 2012 2013, lebron was NOT the best player in the league until 2014 and that’s only bc Kobe’s legs gave out

Saw this game live on T.V… wish I could have been at the Staples Center for this one!! I was still 15 at the time, always been a huge Kobe fan… this was a great comeback game! Probably my favorite comeback of all time! Have rewatched these highlights numerous times!!

Marc Jackson calling both Kobe and Jordan Mohammad Alis. Two rings later, Kobe is certainly the closest thing to Jordan and top 2 all time.

It's impossible to comprehend because he pops out in the lane facing the opposite shot clock- not a reverse- But a tomahawk both arms fully extended BACKWARDS- and this all started from the baseline- BEST DUNK EVER! THE SPEED, POWER, AIRBORNE ELASPSED TIME... BTW, THIS IS DURING A GAME- G. O. A. T. HANDS DOWN

This Would've Been At The 2011 NBA Western Conference Finals On ABC/ESPN & That Happens When I Was 18 Years Old (06/08/1993) It Would've Been On April 8th,2012 Because The NBA Playoffs Would've Start On 04/21/2012 If It Wouldn't Been An NBA Lockdown This Game Was A Biggish Thriller.

Even with the sacrifice of scoring in his last old man 4 full season years with the lakers, This man still managed to dominate the stat categories n be the leader of his team leading them on both ends of the floor deep into the playoffs and even the finals and even lead them to a chip in a league full of stacked young talent In 3 of his last 4 years with the lakers, This man averaged 14 25 and 9 blocks on 54% shooting 18 20 and 6 blocks on 46% shooting And 10, 23, and 7 blocks on 55% shooting in his very last year ever playing The true goat without a doubt

A game where Pjax called a time out with 2 seconds remaining and Lakeshow up by more than 15 pts. D antonni not really happy with that. Also the season where everything turn around for the Lakers. Getting rid of Kwame for Pau. Only thing that got away from them was the Game 4 loss the celts in the finals. Which by the way has fully loaded roster.

Damn, he just wasn't the same. He looked so unhappy and unmotivated. He said in interviews he couldn't stand Kobe & Shaq's egos, and there was no team synergy at that time. Phil should have been a better friend & mentor and worked with him to stay and grow & provide with the team. Fucking waste of his last few years of potential greatness.
