Can you use a small gas low pressure bottle and a large bottle on the cadac or are they both different bbqs?

The payload on a SH Special Edition looks to be about 300-330kgs with the options individually weighed. Camper Sales in Burgess Hill usefully weigh all of the SE tackle in their PDF's for each vehicle. Circa 300kgs is not enough for comfort and peace of mind. I am surprised it is this low given the absence of a spare wheel, the omission of any second bed, the absence of a pop-top and Westfalia's supposed capability for using innovative, lightweight materials in their modern van conversions. If the Camper Sales figures are right, the vehicle needs up plating and Sarah will be better off doing the extra bit of work needed to secure the higher class of licence.

It’s worth remembering that Westfalia quote their base vehicle weight including a 75kg driver, full water tank (100L/kg), 90% full of diesel and a gas cylinder and hook up extension cable as that’s what they class mass in running order. If comparing with others worth checking what their inclusions are just to compare like with like.

Hi, interested to hear your views upon whether this van rattles and squeaks any less than the vW GC you tested. I have spent all afternoon looking at and driving a GC 600. engine, driving, steering all close to the top in commercial vehicle terms but I was very disappointed at how much noise the jabbering cabinets made when bouncing along the roads of eastern Sheffield and the M1 at very modest speeds - we never got above 55mph.

Turquoise and yellow is obviously “on trend”, judging by the bag of bananas and Sarah! I have a 180w solar panel on my camper van and since having it, I haven’t used a hook up, it’s enough to keep my fridge working constantly, even during the winter.

Excellent video. I have the same rooftop antenna on my campervan in the U.S. I was so glad to see that it works well for you with the Spitz. I am now thinking of upgrading to the Spitz. Do you know if this router will allow Port Forwarding? I ask becasue I plan to do some traveling outside the country and am wondering about this option.

Design disasters seem to abound as you show more of this van throughout the video. The upper bunk is awful. Westfalia realised long before VW decided to do it their way that on a platform such as this a usable upper bed requires the van to go to 3 m or a little higher. Witness the beds in the James Cook and the Club joker. My kids grew up in those upper bunks in the older James Cook models. They might have found this half-baked job a bit too much to bear. A really disappointing van requiring a big redesign.

Great size van for 2, much better than the pop tops. I've just gone bigger to an A Class Hymer, Fixed adult sized Bunks for the kids and huge double for us. Still have the Cali Exclusive but the space in the Hymer is another level..the Calis are great to a point and as you say, the ease of doing 'Stuff' is much easier in a larger van. You need to do pub reviews!, touring the UK

We live in Melbourne Australia and have a 2023 Renault Master 6.234m Motorhome which we have had for a little over 12 months. Loving touring over here. we have had some time wild/free camping and the van performed very well. Water and toilet is good fro 3/4 days before a refill and empty is required. Enjoy Guys.

Thank you, brilliant video, I remember the Warbleswick ferry, and the light house at Southwold, stayed locally many years ago in a holiday cottage. Looking forward to booking a pitch at Southwold camping, might try to avoid a hedge bound pitch, as Bateman is likely to behave much like Roxy, and be mad for bunnies 😄We love Adnam's and bought a huge pale blue Adnam's ash tray which we use as a dog water bowl in the garden in the summer. We spent the May Whitsun Bank holiday in Norfolk and then moved up to Kendal, Cumbria on the Thursday, returning last Monday, had a fabulous 9 day roadtrip, longest yet. Glad you're enjoying the Sven. 😍🚐🍾🐶xxx

Been going to Southwold campsite every year for c 35 years. Facilities have improved. It’s not cheap but we have just booked our pitches for August 2025 so popular it is. Visit last August bank holiday ended 3 days early when our part of the campsite and the restaurant where you had breakfast, flooded to knee deep in a flash flood! A gem because you don’t need to move the van when you are there and there are walks and entertainment for various tastes.

I must say, while giving the introduction, whilst driving in the van, the van sounded so crashy, going over undulations. Is this the price you pay for a bigger van ? I have gone a different route, a Transporter lwb sized camper van pulling a 7.5 metre fixed bed caravan. Much more space on arrival plus a smaller van for visiting attractions / parking more easilly and still having facilities out and about. The best of both worlds.
@CampervanTime
@CampervanTime 3 күн бұрын
It's not easy to film when going along and for the sound to work well. It's really not that crashy but I did forget to adjust one of the window blinds down a bit, which does rattle if all the way up so that might be what you were hearing.

Wow! what a brilliant video thank you ever so much for posting. Really interesting and loved the glimpses inside the van cannot wait for a more detailed guide in future videos. Just a quick question where did you get the fitted carpets for your van and do they still work with the underfloor heating?
@CampervanTime
@CampervanTime 3 күн бұрын
We got our fitted carpets from Campervan Carpets, although they were a special one off just for us as they have now stopped making carpets for the time being. They seem to work really well with the underfloor heating to be honest. It does dull it off a bit but you can still feel lovely warmth under foot!

I’m outside now fixing my T6 Ocean because some twat at VW saw fit to make an awning of glued 2 parts fabric, guaranteed to melt and come apart in the sun. And it’s happened twice. Spending hours gluingt it. Absolute shocker they thought that would be ok and save them the time ordering a more costly 1 piece fabric (that T6.1 now has) Muppets. Glad I’m upgrading to an Elddis CV 80 soon.

Hi 👋, we have been considering the swift trekker and the endeavour b64. I know the swift has the sca pop top. Do you know if the Bailey Endeavour b64 has the sca roof? We are also considering the Elddis cv80 however we have heard of a few water ingress issues with the pop tops. Wondered if you had any insights or thoughts on pop top quality. Thanks 😊

I could handle the small size of that vehicle. What i cannot handle is doing things like that puzzle bed or installing the front windows screens every night that i am guessing that are nerve recking. I was hoping you show me that or even if the van has mosquito nets because i would have an heart attack if every night i had to do some tricky stuff... but with that bed nothing else matters... its a no no for sure. The New Kelsey 2024 has a better bed so when you test it do not forget to show those everyday tasks (like installing window screens) that really take a toll on you after a while. Thanks.

Short journeys kill DPFs. Essentially they’re designed to reduce emissions by making us do more miles than we need to and if we don’t they die. How is it acceptable to expect owners to remove oil from their engines on a regular basis. Utter madness. “Buy diesels” they said.
