David S. Ware's fat, beautiful sax makes this an awesome album. Haven't heard it in many years, but I do love it. Excellent group of musicians!

This is amazing, in my opinion the studio version from "For those who are, still", also with Leena and Eri, is even better. It will remain an all time favorite for me.

I like the way drummer adds syncopated fills to smoothen transition between sections

There is a constant fast-paced "microrhythm" in 11, as follows: x-xxx-x-xx- If you take two bars of this rhythm, it's 22 beats: x-xxx-x-xx-x-xxx-x-xx- That's *almost* 21 beats, so if you accentuate every 3rd beat it *almost* feels like a swung 7, but it's not cause there's an extra triplet somewhere. I haven't figured out yet where they're slipping in the extra beat if you try to feel it as 7. Very clever rhythm.

Niceee, when I first heard it I couldnt tell it was two elevens, I was listening to it grouped as follows: |x-x|xx-|x-x|x-|x-xx|x-x-|xx-| 3 3 3 2 4 4 3 The way the snare and bass accent different notes makes me perceive it naturally in this grouping. But it's mind warping because you can listen to it in many different ways! |x-x|xx-|x-x|x-|x-x|xx-|x-x|x-| (3 3 2) (3 3 2) Probably the "intended" Or even like you said with groupings of 3 |x-x|xx-|x-x|x-x|-xx|x-x-|xx-| 3 3 3 3 3 4 3

I am in all my newbie musician state utterly amazed that drums, bass and piano are so totally in on the counting here. Proper jazz vibes for sure. Amazing track.

Respectfully this might be the greatest collaboration of composition, unity of musicians, improvisation, story telling ever heard. If I had died right after hearing this my life would have been complete. Unfortunately I’m also probably half of the views:D

It's a 16th note pulse with an 11 against 7 it's not that hard to count if you know what to look for
