At first I was like "ok, sounds good", but then I felt that maybe that's not my cup of tea, but then again I somehow like it...? 😅 I'm not sure, but there is something interesting in vocals, its rawness (I don't know if it's the right word, English is obviously not my mother tongue). I think I'm going to chceck other songs from them.

You should try listening to all their albums. They're all a little different but keep the same elements. They usually perform at the Baroque festival in Italy. whats most impressive is their vocal ranges they have different singers male and female with exceptional vocal abilities. The music isnt so much dark wave sounding its definitely dark classical and there isnt any other band that has this sound.

No one knows, for sure, who killed Mary, there are several theories through the internet, there are 3 diferent video versions, each tellling a part of the story, so, watch the other two and then make your opinion... But I think the sherif did it!

Hey, thanks for introducing the song! Embryo Ventosa by the way actually means Wind Embryo, the band took it from an old alchemical book called Atalanta Fugiens, where they also took the album title from. It's about the birth of the element of sulphur from the womb of the north wind. The lyrics are in Latin, unlike their former albums, only a few of the newer lyrics are in Italian..

"y'all don't try new things" This is my first time listening to the artist, thus I AM trying something new... And yes, he may well have been the founding father, but again, the first time I've heard of him and Wikipedia is notoriously unreliable for it's information. Yes, I'm a rookie when it comes to his music it is new to me... I'm more than happy to listen to more of his material or something new.

For me, I think the message is the realization that piece by piece we are on the way to extinction, symbolized by the figures without an arm or the dog without its back legs and that loss piece by piece is the direct physical reflection of the other pieces that are of the forum of love and humanity of our existence and which we are losing.

I felt similarly, when I first heard the new album. I've always been a fan and own all Farmer Boys albums. And when I first found out, they'd actually released a new one, I bought it without hesitation and was slightly taken aback by the „new“ voice, as I'd expected Matthias to still sound the same. On the other hand I often thought his gritty voice on the earlier albums sounded kinda forced, and in an interview after a concert he had a really hoarse voice. So I guess, not only has his voice changed with age, but also has his style of singing. Yet, after getting accustomed to “the new sound” and not expecting everything to sound like 20 years earlier, the new album really grew to me. I really like it, I think it sounds more mature.

Lyrics speak to the weakness of the previous generation and their reckless persuit of comfort and safety. And their biggest sin, teaching the next how to live while asleep. We havent started begging for Poppa yet, but soon.

Thanks for reacting to this gem. I always understood the scene with the house catching on fire as his own house, his mom and *her* lover being the ones inside. I presumed she died in that scene. The ambiguity is whether the fire was spontaneous, and the boy was just running away to save himself, or whether he set the house on fire resenting that his mom had taken a lover-a jealous boy acting out the rage he harbored when his mother seemed to do the same as his father. I like that this video leaves it up to the viewer to decide who’s guilty. Most, like you, assume the sheriff is the baddie. I like the idea that Richard was guilty all along. Or if he didn’t kill Mary, I do believe he killed his own mother, so that the townspeople’s prejudice may not have been entirely unfounded. I think there’s a part 2 to the video with more scenes. I haven’t watched that in decades! Either way, what a talented songwriter and performer. Such creativity in the story, the guitar work so masterful, and the vocals sublime.

I know Im late to the party but just so you get the knowledge if you are still wondering and still listen to Diseased, the dialogue between the two men in the intro of the song is indeed an interview as you said, however, it is between I believe a doctor talking to a Schizophrenic patient, it is from an old extract that can still be found here on KZfaq, and it is quite an old piece of media from I wanna say before 1950 not exactly sure what decade, but it is from a time in which Schizophrenia was not understood as how it is nowadays, not sure if the interviewer is the main doctor conducting the research on it or what, but yeah, there you go. The interview is of course much longer that this, but this extract is used and mainly known because it is here in which you can know the patient is aware of his condition, but deeply acknowledges both him and the doctor know there is little they can do to change his state, like in the script he says the person who brought him there never told him why, but he figured it is because of his difference in mental state from the rest of the people around him. Correction: it is a catatonic schizophrenic patient, which...is a worse condition than just a diagnosis of schizophrenia, and it is from 1961. I've heard about Sophie Lancaster and her boyfriend in one of true crime podcasts and it was really one of these cases that made me sad. Beat someone to death only because of the looks? I know that world is not rainbows and unicorns only, but... wtf is wrong with people. How can you hate someone you don't know completely nothing about, to the point to feel the need to ki*l? Or even wish someone all the worst? Can't help myself, but there's one song that immidiately popped up in my mind, Lord of the Lost - Leave your hate in the comments (did you react to this?), great song also about hate that the band received through the years from disgusting "keyboard warriors" always hiding behind their mobile phones or computers and are unable to understand that if you don't like what you see, then don't look at it. Go and do what makes you happy, why spending your time on things you don't like? Nevertheless, I think this is the first band from New Zealand I've ever heard song from. Maybe it wasn't "love at first sight", but it was pretty nice. I guess I'm going to listen something more from them. Have a nice week and I think we should remember about one thing, hate tells everything about haters and completely nothing about people they hate.
