Yes. That's a very, very capable machine. Framerate won't pose any problem at all. When do the fans kick on with the card - about 56 C? My 3080 (12 GB) does run warm but I have a larger Phanteks Eclipse 500A mid-tower with three 140's pushing in air and a 280 AIO on top adding additional exhaust. The card maxes out around 72 C, with no undervolt.

Hi, i have one x270 and it came with bios and vPro locked, it's intel i5 6300 vPro, it's not stolen or anything, it was offloaded with a bunch of x270 from some school or something, SSD is also missing.. I am not sure how to unlock the BIOS without shorting a particular spot on the motherboard, you may find some videos of people doing that. The problem with a build like this is win10 is almost done, and win11 is going to be a pain to get on there and keep up to date, even enthusiastic gamers are not going to want to do that. That makes a build with that old of a system dead out of the gate.
@HaisteComputerRepair
@HaisteComputerRepair 4 күн бұрын
That is a fair opinion, but using the phrase "dead out of the gate" is, in my opinion, not the most ethical approach to speaking about computer hardware. Windows 11 is actually quite easy to install and keep updated on Intel CPU's 7th gen and below. Alternatively, Microsoft will be offering a paid service to receive security updates for Windows 10, if one were wanting to continue using it. I am not saying that either of these are what someone should or feel they have to do, but they are viable options that a consumer deserves to know. Speaking as a tech enthusiast, I believe in keeping capable hardware going as long as possible. It reduces waste and helps curb the trend for consumers to buy something new, whether they need it or not. I would not influence a customer to do everything I say, but I am definitely willing to discuss options so that they can make an informed choice. Often, I also learn something new. At the end of the day, a person is within their own right to purchase whatever they want and that is totally fine with me. I hope you understand I am just wanting to create discourse rather than leave blanket statements printed on the internet. Cheers :)

@@HaisteComputerRepair I work in IT consultation and from my experience a lot of companies will purchase the extended warranty for a bulk order of office PC's (mostly Dell products) and then when the extended warranty expires, they will sell off old PC's, most of them end up on Ebay or recycling centers. The warranty can sometimes be up to 5 years depending on how big the order is and how nice the account rep is. Some companies are legally obligated to upgrade PC's when the warranty expired. If this was not a common policy, hospitals would be using computers from the 2000's if they could get away with it. So.. here in about 1 year, we are going to see a bunch of 10th and 11th gen Intel based office PC's for cheap on Ebay and Amazon. I once got 3 Optiplex's with 6th and 7th Gen Intel's for less than $250 and they all work still.

@@HaisteComputerRepair Let me add some help here... The 2700X CPU is clearly not running optimal. First, temps are very high considering the workload displayed. The cooler is way insufficient (it is the Wraith Stealth right?). The motherboard may also be a bottleneck. This is a power hungry chip, so the VRM's on the ASUS A320M-K is probably also temp/current-limiting themselves (normally you would see up to 4 GHz @all-core or 4.2 - 4.3 GHz boost clocks with ligher loads. So here, I would be also conserved about VRM temps just as much as CPU temps. Definitely a Good idea to replace the cooler. But here I would really say that a Wraith Prism or another powerful downdraft cooler is what you want.- These few VRM's NEED cooling!! = Avoid a Tower cooler, or if you do use one, put a fan to blow air over the VRM's:). The Wraith Spire (*with the copper core!) can do okay, but will still temp-limit the CPU boost to full boost capacity. But it will be able to help cooling the VRMs also, and the board will probably power limit the CPU clocks/voltage anyway, so the Spire Cooler should be sufficient

@@Wushu-viking I will agree that the board is not the most robust choice to pair with a 2700X. However, he's already built it. In addition, if that is the Antec VSK4000E-U3 case, only one 120 mm fan can be installed in front and its maximum aftermarket cooler height is limited to 145mm. .

you are running the os on a Sata drive, while having storage on a NVME? That`s the other way arround no? Also, there is a caddy that allows you to plug in a m.2 nvme up to pcie3x2 in the place of that Sata drive, and increse the speed on that connection. But already having the second drive on an m.2 nvmw pcie3x2 in the format 2242, Id`highly recommend you to load the os onto that drive and use the sata ssd as the storage. Responsive times withing the OS will greatly improve

I mentioned in the video you could use the WWAN port to install either m.2 or nvme ssd and listed off some options. Boot drive, storage, etc. These came to me with the 2.5" caddy, so that is how I sold them. Some context: in my work, it is not worth the added cost to purchase a separate caddy for NVMe and be left with 2.5" caddies. If a customer wanted this, no problem. But, I sell as budget friendly as I can and leave further modifications up to customer request. I may miss some things in my videos, so thanks for commenting in a friendly way :)
