Hi there, Great content! Would you be able to share with us the quizlets used to prepare for the exams? Thank you! 🙏
@iamthestudio4 күн бұрын
Hi there, believe you can find several sets, however some test training providers don't allow sharing digital or derivative content. There are plenty of great free questions on ARE questions, and other sites where you can make your personal set, which is also good practice. I hope that helps.

@@iamthestudio Thank you, I appreciate the prompt response. I checked out the Quizlet site and did a general search for ARE prep and there are an overwhelmingly large amount of sets! I think I might just trust my own process in studying instead and continue to prepare my own written notes instead. I asked because I was curious to know how effective online studying tools were. Thank you again.

Tip for navigating the IBC and other Documents on the exam: Use the Table of Contents to navigate and jump to different sections. Scrolling through the documents eats up time and could potentially cause your computer and/or exam software to crash.

Yes, its not that hard to familiarize with and will speed up workflow immensely.

Tadao Ando is a genius. Very well spoken. Though he was never formally trained as an architect, he studied like someone who did. His use of light, material, balance and nature in a minimalist realm is unmatched in my opinion.

@@zackh7450 I have no idea of that channel, concerning a generic chair model, its very easy to model. This is a short >1minute reel from a 7 hr course showing a generic model. If you think generic functions "belong" to other people, you should contact Rhino. If you can't model a generic chair, maybe you should buy the course.

I don't have 2nd floor floor plan in the project browser. How do I add floors?
@iamthestudio8 ай бұрын
Hi there, You can simply add another level from the Architecture tab, and start a floor at that level, from the properties tab.

hey im using a Grasshopper plug-in for rhino7, this plug-in draws the naca airfoil, my problem is that after the profile as been drawn onto rhino7, i cannot modify the geometry or even select it as soon as i close Grasshopper the geometry also disappears from Rhino7, i am a new to this and would like to know how to maintain my geometry so that i can go work on it and make a 3d model
@iamthestudio8 ай бұрын
Hi there, what you need to do is bake the geometry. If 1 function generates the geometry, you can simply right click the fn and click bake. If there are multi functions, you can simply merge the outputs with the merge function.

Its good to find a special freedom in learning about architecture as the exam requires. With every resource, its always best to find a single strategy to operate by, e.g. per section or question type. I wish all the best in those exams!

Thanks for sharing. Did you read any book back to back?
@iamthestudio10 ай бұрын
You're welcome. I scanned many books like graphic standards. I did read the CSI book of practice, and did large percentage of books on site design. The MEEB book was the 1st to start skimming. I also used read aloud in many situations, for digital and in some cases scanned books.

Hey man, thanks for putting this together, really appreciate all the advice! I am about to take PDD tomorrow and this is really helpful. Also, I have a question, what happens after you pass all the AREs and fulfill all the requirements? How do you actually become licensed, do you need to order something? Pay something? do you get a diploma or certification, do you get a Stamp? I mean, everybody talks about the process, but I haven't found anyone explaining the steps one needs to take after fulfilling all the requirements. Thanks in advance!!!
@iamthestudio Жыл бұрын
Hi there, each state has its own post step. In TN, you register and pay fee with the state, and they request confirmation from NCARB. California has a supplemental exam. The NCARB site itself should have all reuirements for you to take. Best wishes in your exam!
