THANK YOU FOR THIS!!! I have been trying to find different ways to make book covers that don't require me to buy this machine or that type of printer, etc. You are a life saver! Much more cost effective for my current pockets

As others have said I would definitely suggest making book sleeves so that you can change the covers according to your mood and also I would draw on the inside ( like you do on some of your other books ) to really make them yours. Also, you could draw on the paper sides with gold or use foil to make littles designs like birds or sth so you can fit the ravenclaw aesthetic and colour. These are probably suggestions you may have already considered 🤷🏽♀️ 😅

Do you use a certain type of paper? The one that goes beneath the gold foil?

I tried to use the smoother I could find ☺️ the smoother the paper, the better the result!

ooh I still have gold foil left over from my bookbinding project! I'll have to find someone with a laser printer though lol random: I am LDS (type of Christian), I really wish Fourth Wing would come out with a less-spicy version so I could read it it looks so good ;-;
@extracozydiy16 күн бұрын
Be careful to see if it is reactive or toner foil ☺️ For fourth wing you can really easily find the pages you need to skip to pass the spicy scenes for everything editions so you can read it ☺️ and you won’t miss any of the plot if you skip those parts

Yes please, I would love a video making these using only household items :)
@emjayviolinart18 күн бұрын
I haven't tried it, but for the Fourth Wing bookmark I think you could probably tape down the laminated product onto corkboard or something, and then use an Knife Of Exact Zero to cut it out. It would probably be more accurate and less choppy than scissors. Also if you don't have heat reactive foil (which is cheaper than you'd expect but kinda hard to use), you might try tracing the design with metallic paint or paint pens. And never underestimate the magic of ✨borrowing✨

Has anyone tried this with double-sided tape instead of glue?? ಥ_ಥ I want to do this to my book but I don't have any glue, and I'm not sure if it's alright to use double-sided tape.

Every hardcover is sent to case in cold glue the process just to create the cover I'd extremely complicated it takes multiple processes to create a cover to silk that cover onto a case and run it through a casemaker is difficult it's not silk it's matte btw hmu if you need a cover!
