I've got a suggestion for your hoyas that you want to grow. Water them with weak black tea, the tannins in the tea replicate the tannins in the rain water produced by the tree bark they grow on in nature. I watered my hoya (by what I learned from your video it's a poonsak has the same flowers, leaves and growth pattern) with weakly made black tea and it started to flower 2 weeks later! Give it a try on some of your plants giving you troubles. Make sure to spill some on the leaves since hoyas absorb nutrients through the leaves

I love your choices and they look wonderful. My hoyas are all still very small, so super excited for "adults" of the littles. :-) Your videos are awesome, thanks tons!!

I have mostly hoyas and I would like to switch them to semi-hydro. I hear that some hoyas can be temperamental. Are there any that you would recommend that I do not switch to semi-hydro?

What is the soilix you use? How often did you spray and did you open the jar to let it air out?

Do you grow any of your Hoya outside on my covered patioI live in Az and have a black margin and a Australis. It’s getting hot out there but I’m nervous about leaving them outside and bringing them inside. How hot is too hot?
@KnotDudeАй бұрын
I do not grow any outside bc I am too afraid of that. If you wanna test it out I'd keep something out there you can replace easily! Keep me updated I'd love to hear how it goes over the summer!

Hey Adam, love your hoyas. Watched tons of your videos, trying to learn. I am a newbie with two hoyas. But.....so worried about pests and new house out of the box. Can you suggest a video of what to do to protect your plants. I trust you and would love your input. I want to remove all soil, rinse, put into PON and then cabinet. I fear pests for some reason. Loved the long hair. I too just cut my hair off. But will grow it long again. I always do. I am 65 with slightly gray thick hair. Wish it had some curl like yours! You look great either way! 😊

I use SUPERthrive Grow and Pro-TeKt (silica). The funny thing is when I adjust the PH of my tap water or filtered water down to 6-7 I get more root rot than if I leave it higher around 7.25-7.5.

Meters let you know when you need to flush ir leach with ph water to lower salts. You have different ppm/ec ranges for different stages of growth. You stay with range and ph. This is why a cheap meter is important so you know if your getting to salty or under feeding. Prevents nute burns and lockouts.
@cooter13522 ай бұрын
I highly recommend a ph and ec/ppm meter. More accurate. Also easier. Plus you can just add water if you need to lower ph from ph up to save money.

If growing in coco and perlite use half whatever the bottles say or you're going to burn your cannabis plants. I just learned the hard way and got some mild burn. I caught it early and leached the soil with ph water and they came right back overnight and after cutting nutes i hit them again and all good. Been seeing daily growth. They're flourishing with this stuff. Just be sure to check your ppm/ec/ph runoff for proper levels

Man that looks painful. You must suck with a framing hammer. You think you'll lose all of them? When i got 3 fingers shut in all the way on my 3 fingers they went black just like that.

I was looking for permission to collect some more varieties of lacunosa. I certainly found what I was looking for! Your collection is amazing. I want to add some pronounced veiny leaves and different leaf shapes to my lacunosa, krohniana black and krohniana silver. Thanks!
