Mines all stock, had it for a year. Have almost 12k on it. Love it. I’m under no illusions, I know it’s not fast. It will never be fast just quick. It’s definitely fast enough to decimate traffic in stock form and extremely fast enough once you get in the twistys.

@@pandemonikussuperbus4590 In restricted stock form, it’s not going much faster than 193kph, I’ve tested that. If it goes faster, it’s going to take a while to get there. It doesn’t have rip your arms off speed like a 1000 and you’ll never drop a gear and go. A 600 should be much faster. But if the road is twisty and doesn’t have much straights, it’s fast enough that I don’t get left behind my buddies V4RS.

No expert here but those parked bikes were a huge distraction. My first thought watching the video (before you got to the curve) was why all the bikes? Why would anybody park there? A distraction like that could cause a second or two of delay turning in causing you to go wide. (It also looked like there was some sand or trash on the road?) Five years of riding is definitely not novice. Objectively it was an accident but with extenuating circumstances. I'm guessing you've replayed this 100 times in your mind. Thanks for posting this.
@YesitsqkКүн бұрын
@@dantimber I can see your reasoning behind the riders parked there taking a break for whatever reason However there are camera crews sporadically on the dragon as well with tents and their vehicles. I never had the thought of “crap why are they there”?! I may have turned in a little late which is why I caught the post on the ground, bc I had to lean the bike over further to make the corner. I don’t feel had that not dug in and lifted my rear tire that I would have crashed.

Hey it's Big E, old local on the dragon, ride with Antprilia. Best thing I was taught when I was trying to drag a knee etc back 25 years ago was to stop trying so hard. If you just start moving your head low, forward and toward the mirror that you are leaning into then you will see that just doing that with your upper body keeps the bike stable and keeps you from upsetting the bike with your lower body. Practice that for a few weeks, then slowly do what I just told you but start hanging just a half a butt cheek off. Do that for a few weeks then little by little move more of your butt off the seat while puting your head towards that mirror while looking through the turn! Try it! I promise you it will come to you! Good luck, be safe!

Hey E! I’ll give it some practice Thanks!
@BigEbikesportsАй бұрын
@@Yesitsqk Oh and keep your speed reasonable, don't push your speed, just practice moving your head forward and over until it starts to feel comfortable. Us fast guys started off low and slow just like everybody else LOL. Remember slow is smooth and smooth is fast, in that order! Baby steps!!! One more thing that is very crucial, work on throttle control, that is what keeps the bike stable mid corner, too much or too little upsets the bike! keep it steady and smooth! If you see me up there then chase me down, stop me, wave me down! I'll work with you and get your confidence back! Also I have a new 2023 Yamaha MT-09 SP that I ride a lot too especially when JR is on his Husky 701 motard.

@@Yesitsqk Oh we will do more than meet, give you some pointers and then we can go ride, go a easy pace and apply the techniques that you learn. You will be riding way better in minutes. Oh and let me take a look at your suspension, make sure it's set up right. I am a suspension guy, a few clickers off and that can really throw you off coming in or out of a corner. We ride these expensive bikes because the suspension is top notch and works for us, not against us LOL.

Your point of you don't have parking lots near you is dumb, if you are near the tail then theres tons of places you can go to for sure. Spend a day looking around, search around google maps use street view. You might have to ride 20 minutes or more to get there but that option is there if you want it. You also saying you don't want to practice because you don't want to drop the bike is also dumb to me, you just said you slid it at the tail! You are telling me you would rather risk it on the road than get comfortable in a safe spot? Wrecks happen all the time, would you rather have fairing damage or would you rather have fairing damage plus the risk of bodily damage and binning the bike from slamming into something? I love the backroads. Tons of fun. Please do not make the public roads the first place you test your limits, riding is dangerous enough.

I don't know why guys want to play Isle of Man TT at the tail of the dragon. Too many very tight slow turns that are just an invitation to crash a street bike. The riders that play roadracer there are just an accident waiting to happen. Hope you didn't get hurt and are able to fix your bike quickly. Don't kid yourself about class time. That just gives guys a false sense of security which leads them to think they are safe hauling butt on tight turns. They still crash, and usually at a higher speed than before!
@justshitposting8411Ай бұрын
Does anyone here know exactly what went wrong and how to avoid it? It looks like just too much lean angle but how would you go through that turn without it?
@mricemantoyouАй бұрын
My guess, hanging off the bike and turning the bars in... Which loads up the front and once traction starts to go, turns the front in more and control is lost... (lowside). Lean with the bike (not off it) and slight countersteer pressure, and ride smoothly... Managed to stay upright for 30 years this way
