Today I am 46 years old through all this stimulation for the 2nd cycle, 1st cycle we had 12 follicles and only 8 eggs are matured, after that the eggs injected my husband sperm and we got only 1 perfect embryo, so the next on my 2nd cycle, and hope we will win many perfect embryos ❤😇🙏 just keep in faith , God allow us to have our kids❤

I'm on week 5 of PIO and I put the syringe under my arm pit after filling. I usually hold it under there while I'm getting in a brief morning walk so I can multi-task. I haven't tried the heating pad before the injection but might try it. I've been using ice instead. I know some say ice can cause butt lumps.

Very good question! There is a small chance you could inject and hit a blood vessel, the goal is to inject into the muscle, not directly into a blood vessel, so if you draw back and see blood, then it's best to pull out and try again.

Hi, thanks for the question! A major priority for all fertility doctors is to make sure that mom and baby are safe. Twin and triplet pregnancies greatly increase the chance of pregnancy complications as well as the gravity of these complications. So, these days, single embryo transfer is the standard practice at most clinics. Of course, exceptions do exist, and this is absolutely an issue that patients need to discuss directly with their physician.

Hi! RN Nurse Educator and former IVF patient here. This is the dorsogluteal muscle and is not best practice for IM injection due to high risk of sciatic nerve injury (which can potentially be permanent). I’m a surrogate, I started PIO about 2 weeks ago. The Injections are way easier than I thought, the first time is hard MENTALLY then once you do it once every other time is so easy. The needle is so thin I hardly feel it! Thanks for the vid.

I’m a surrogate as well! I’ve been doing my PIO since January. It’s my last week of injections and I’m soooo over it 😭 they definitely don’t hurt as much as I thought, but it can be difficult when doing it by yourself and trying to angle in a way so that you don’t hit the same injection site. (Done that quite a few times, not fun 🙃)
