I am 60 years old and recently had a heart attack that resulted in two stents being placed. I was a bit overweight, but not obese. I definitely wasn’t as active as I should be since I work from home. A heart attack is definitely an eye-opener! I have been adopting more of a Japanese eating style lately. Trying to eliminate bread, processed food and incorporating healthier items. Luckily I enjoy cooking so it’s just become more of a challenge than a burden. Exercise was one area that I alwaysstruggle with. I don’t like to work out, I don’t want to go to the gym and I’m out of shape so it’s embarrassing. I downloaded a couple tai chi “beginner” videos & quickly lost faith because I could hardly do them. then I found this video. Game changer! It helps me relax before my workday starts, but it’s not an exhausting workout. What it does for me is put me in a good frame of mind and it allows me to feel good about myself because I’ve done something. positive to start my day. Thank you for sharing this. I’m definitely going to be expanding, and challenging my body more as it built strength, but this video was perfect!

@@Georgie63 stick to module 1 and 1b for awhile so you really master them. Then move onto module 2. These intro modules are a great way to ease into Tai Chi but you will find it gets hard quickly so take it slow and build your stamina and self confidence.

I am going to commit to doing this for 100 days. I followed the video and did the review. I could feel the tree and the water. It does not matter if it sounds silly. What matters is that I am taking care of myself, and that is what is important. I am now doing Thai Chi July 13 2024 my life is beggining again. my past is dead now.

How did it change your life?
@Taiflow
@Taiflow 4 күн бұрын
A daily regular practice will eventually change you on a cellular level. You have to be consistent and practice every day and you will not notice it at first. It is after a few years of regular practice that you will look back and realize you aren't the same as before you started. I am calmer, nicer, happier, more compassionate with myself, more compassionate with others, healthier, the list goes on and one. I also teach it now which also has changed my life in ways I cannot express in words. I love what I do, I love to share what I know with people and this practice has opened that door for me. At first you just practice, you practice for the enjoyment of practicing, not for the life changes that could eventually happen. Yu just practice.

@@Taiflow oh, sorry to hear that. I can understand your son's feelings and struggles. We are fighting a very difficult battle. I send him my love with all my heart. By the way, my tinnitus is somatic tinnitus. The sounds increase with my muscle movements. If your son is like this, I came across an interesting study. A woman with hearing loss whose tinnitus increases with eye movements performs eye exercises by looking up, down, right and left for 1 month, and after 1 month her tinnitus decreases noticeably.
