Doing the 2H into 623L is pretty hard for me. And even when I do I don't get +31 after the butterflies. Oh well, train more, thanks for the guide
@shiwanmi
@shiwanmi 6 ай бұрын
Yeah it is pretty tricky in general. So when you hit combo limit on your opponent, if they are higher in the air they will air tech and if they're closer to the ground they tech on the ground (or don't tech). Getting +31 (i think it's possible with less advantage but tighter the less you have) happens when they ground tech, so in order for that to work, your last 2H needs to hit later. So you're likely pressing your ender 2H too early. In order to get the right height, I press 2H as the last hit of 623L hits the opponent. This route has flaws for the same reason it works. By making the opponent ground tech, they can choose not to tech and get up later, making you lose your safe jump. There are advantages to this and I'll try to make another video about that. For now, the setup I linked in the pinned comment is easier and forces air tech as opposed to ground tech if you want something easier/more consistent (though you'll need to use 623H cooldown).

I am new to fighting games, and I feel like a complete loser. I always read stuff like "this game is very easy" while I struggle with "basic" combos hahaa, I will keep up the practice but Metera does not feel easy to me, but she is the most fun to play (for me at least)
@shiwanmi

Never feel like a complete loser. If you're struggling with something, someone else has as well. People say GBVS is easy in comparison to other fighting games, but that doesn't mean it's easy in general. It's your first fighting game, so try focus on what you enjoy and the rest will come with time. Also, within the context of GBVS, Metera is NOT easy. If she's the most fun to play, keep at it! She is my favorite character across all fighting games as a whole, so I feel the exact same lol

@@shiwanmi thank you so much for the kind words! I will stick to Metera and see where it goes. At first, i thought she was the classic zoning-type character but she is not, her tools can be used to do some crazy combos + "spamming" in this game feels useless since the character can be in your face with just once move therefore focusing on her offense and learning her set ups seems better to me. She has something very unique that I enjoy playing and i will keep trying :) ty again!

For any lovely Metera's using this route, there is a new route posted by Cuon that safejumps, does great damage, sets up H butterfly, is easier, and forces air tech (meaning they can't delay tech) here: twitter.com/CuonAlpinus1/status/1737336020704604192?s=19 Also, I recommend joining the GBVSR discord: discord.com/invite/rising-skyfarers

Incase anyone else struggles with this setup like i did here’s a tip. If your getting ~plus 26 you’re doing the 2h ender too high/early, make sure you do it when they’re low to the ground and you should be plus 31 after butterfly. I was going crazy for a min lol but hope this helps
@shiwanmi

Good looking out. It never really crossed my mind I guess because I just subconsciously do the 2H after the final hit of 623L lol

I just need to enjoy my games i love the pvp games that i play but i just want to get better. But i need to know that it doesn't happen overnight and im not trying to be the top player. I just need to learn to enjoy the process. I'll add this to my favorites! 😊 Keep it up with the videos! Would love to see more fighting game content from you.

as an alternative feels-based method, personally i do like flipping a coin but i also use it to gauge my real desires and the flip itself isnt the important bit. If i flip the coin and get amane, but im sad about it, I would know I actually wanted susanoo deep down and pick him after all. If I don't have a strong feeling about the coin toss result, then its fine to go with it.

Came here from uncomfortable's channel. Well done ! Your application of the ghosting method to fighting games servers as a reminder to me personally that games can be about practice , hardwork, and enjoying the benefits of those hardwork. Not necessarily eye candy button mashers . Plus your editing was smooth especially that timer zoom in and zoom out shot. Keep going!
