Was they trying to be Skynard 2.0 in the beginning then they switched to Don doing most of the lead vocals?

How on earth have they not made the rock hall of fame. What an injustice to rock fans.

I watch this on DVD is a kid the DVD was released December 11, 2007 it was recorded at the Seger theater in New Orleans, on April 9 and April 10, 1983
I met Artimus after he played in my city. He still gets emotional talking about losing Ronnie and the others.

This show was great in theaters, but it didn’t work in bigger venues. What’s a shame about this video is that they edited the first half of Shaw’s solo on Cold War (the entire rap section appears to have been added in post production)…I guess it’d also be nice if they’d played the entire New Orleans show-ideally the last show of the run, which I believe was the sunday show, because it had an extra song.

They were huge in Gville in the great 90’s. I used to play the same joints Gatormiesters, Purple Porpoise, Rickenbackers, Al’s Deli (on the roof at halftime) student ghetto,Florida Theater Gville was poppin then🔥

I was at this show and absolutely hated them. It was my first time seeing Rush,so yea. I remember the drummer playing a trash Mapex and his cymbals over tighten. A month later I bought their first album and they became one of my biggest influences ever. I seen them at Shades years later and they still killed it🔥 This was a cool flashback thank ya🤘🏻

Looks like a great concert wasted on a shitty sound mix. Sorry guys, I’m a fan, but what was the purpose of a sound check at noon

Fuck you Ronnie Van Zant. You killed Cassie Gaines. YOU killed her by forcing her to get on that death trap. Rot in hell asshole.

Holy shiz man. Thanks for postinf this! Ive looked for this album for a long time. I saw these dudes at the Lions Club and the singer had a milk jug emptied out filled with wine. I was 14 and thought that was the punkest shit id ever seen. I took the cd to have it "profesionally" refinished/repaired 3 times and the 3rd time they lost it. I was so pissed. They said theyd replace it and then called and said they couldn't find a replacement (obviously)

Yes! I was at a ton of those Lions Clubs shows in Orange Park! I think I have another copy of this CD that I could mail to you. I'll look for it.

It is worse than irresponsible for the adult people who could've banned the group from being allowed to use that plane. We would still have our one&only Ronnie Van Zant. Two of my favorite stories are how they came up with their band name&how sweet home Alabama came to be!

Ever heard the song Brickyard Road? Johnny's tribute song to his brother? It's amazing. One of those songs that tear you up through the first chorus.

If it weren't for Johnny VZ, it would never have happened. I don't think they would have even considered an outside singer.

As much as I love Steve Perry I would love to see him back in the band he just can't hit the high notes anymore and Arnell is right on point but something intimate maybe unplugged would be nice to see him singing at a lower octave

I saw them at Anaheim Stadium about 6 weeks before the crash - they headlined with REO Speed Wagon, Foreigner, and Ted Nugent. Skynyrd just smoked and blew everyone away, especially with the new songs off Street Survivors like That Smell. The album hadn’t even been released yet. I was 16 years old and they were the second concert I attended. I feel so bad for people who never got to see them, and of course for their families who felt the ultimate loss.
