The 747 was pushed to .99 mach in it's trials without issue. It will be flying for the next 50 years while every A380 will be scrapped within the next 10 years.

The A380 is a superior plane to the Jumbo in almost every way imagineable, its work of art engineering. Only reason its being scrapped is purely for economical reasons. And do we even need to go into the utter shitstorm of problems the dreamliner has had after it went into actual service? :)

Delays in the testing mean delays in delivery and thus entry into service, costing airlines millions, if not billions of dollars (which is what's happening to Boeing with the 777X right now). Those costs often fall on the manufacturer execs so it's best to ensure that testing stays on track.

Great Video. but if you notice that you landed so hard, its because the nose of the aircraft was flared well before it actually crossed the threshold. Next time come in a lot higher, and have a little extra speed. This will result in you having the nose down for a change; therefore, you will be able to judge the correct altitude to approach on.
