What do you think about the Afinia L502-L801 are they good enough to print quality stickers for cannabis
@graphicinsights46629 күн бұрын
I just did some consulting for a cannabis packaging company who was using the L801. Yes, it’s a good printer for that. Make sure you clean and maintain it on a regular basis. You are limited with the finishes to straight CMYK printing on a handful of media but it gets the job done. They also had the finishing system which is a must for labels in my opinion.

I can't even get the 800ML for the Epson 2270. Since Epson hasn't "made enough" because my $16k machine is "fairly new" I can't afford to have this problem. My prints currently aren't working out because my ML is low. I am a small business and I can't afford that. I am asking friends who have converted printers to make my prints because Epson has maintenance items out of stock.

Hello sir can use ce6000 cutter
@graphicinsights4662 ай бұрын
Hi, thanks for reaching out. The CE6000 does have the ARMS sensor on it and can read crop marks but Graphtec no longer guarantees it from CutMaster5. According to Graphtec - make sure that your cutter firmware is 1.40 or later and change the setting of CONDITION PRIORITY from MANUAL to PROGRAM in the TOOLS SETTING menu. Your guaranteed way to use the CE6000 is to download Cut Master 4 but you will also need to use an older version of Illustrator. The previous instructions should work for CM5

That’s exactly the printer that I’ve been doing some research. EFI is an excelente brand but the price it way out of my league (US$ 200k). The other brands don’t even have a 10’ wide machine. There are several less known brands that do have an 10’ Hybrid UV Printer like ALLWIN, GONGZHENG, DILLI, HANDTOP, JHF, SPRINTER, SINO COLORS. It would be asome if you help select the best manufacturer and printer. Thanks in advance!!

We live in a world where a pickup truck costs 100k. So a wide format UV printer that is delivered, set up, calibrated, with full parts and service warranty, with two days on site training, and helping purchaser setup first production runs, for 100k, well, that is a far better value than aforementioned truck.

For eco solvent, what vinyl is recommended for packaging or what brand do you recommend?
@graphicinsights4663 ай бұрын
Thanks for the question. It depends on what the packaging type is. All media manufacturers have a standard vinyl for cardboard or paper type products. If it’s a low energy surface like plastic I would recommend Arlon DPF8000 ultra tack or similar. If it’s a food product then Eco-sol ink should not be used on any media as it is not a good safe ink. I can recommend more media options if you let me know the packaging type.

Hi! I am looking to open a graphic business to print images to mount on foam board or coroplast. Which printer do you recommend to start with it can be from 36 in wide and no more than 48 in wide since the biggest size is 8x4.
@graphicinsights4663 ай бұрын
Hi, thanks for the question. The typical sizes of Eco-SOL printers are 30, 54 and 64". I would recommend a 54" or 64" printer. You have more media options with 54" and if you want color going to the edge (bleed), then you will need to print larger than 48". If you think you might expand to stickers or other types of graphics in the future, I would suggest the Roland or Mimaki. I lean towards the Roland with the 2 year warranty. If you don't need cutting, I would suggest the Epson S40600. It's a 64" printer that will will allow you to print wider if you ever need it but also offers the most balanced speed, color and price in an entry level machine. Good luck with your business!

And if you want SUPER budget to print stickers, outfit one of those epson ecotanks with eco-solvent inks, and then use a brother scan n cut, circuit or silhouette to cut. You can get set up for about $1000 or less and it will include the vinyl sheets to print on. But you will be limited to 8.5x11. But then you can offer contour cut decals, and see if you want to jump to something bigger. But if I get really busy with them I'd add the roland, or Mimaki with a graphtec ce7000-60

I wouldn't touch Mutoh's, I have owned two of them and they are unreliable and hard to get parts and servicing especially in Australia, the HP latex is a great machine, but I would suggest a Latex 365 its faster and you can run fabrics. Mimaki and epsons are hit and miss I have owned a number of these brands, but Mimaki's flatbed solutions are very nice. I have a HP latex 365 and I would recommend that to anyone, but I also have the industrial series HP Scitex FB700 hybrid/flatbed UV which is way over the entry level solution's and after having such a great experience with the HP Latex 365 I just went overboard and brought a HP Latex 1500 superwide 3.2M industrial grand format! if your buying your own machines make sure you purchase the right solutions for your businesses needs. And do your research :)

Thanks for the comment! I would recommend buying one with a couple of cautions. 1. Know that support will be difficult IF you need it. Make sure you can get parts for it maintenance and for repair. Also make sure that if it comes with RIP software you may be on your own to figure it out and if you can use a mainstream RIP software like Flexi or Onyx that the software manufacturers have drivers to support the printer. Other than those things I think the savings is worth it, you may have to put more effort into getting that it to work. I think you just gave me a video idea.👍 what printer are you considering?
