Hi! Living in Europe :) just wanted to let you know that there are no water fountains here because you can refill your bottle almost anywhere where there's water taps, so for example in the bathroom 😅 you can also ask around and they'll tell you water is safe to drink. When it's a tap that's not safe to drink from they put signs showing that 😊👍 so for example this could be in a water fountain in the middle of the city

Loved this video, so helpful! I'm the hunt for the perfect white sneaker. How do you like those Birkenstock sandals? They're so cute, I've actually had my eye on them but haven't pulled the trigger. Do you find them true to size?
@JenniferLynnLife18 күн бұрын
Super true to size! Super cute and immediately comfy. Wore them as my main shoe for a 3 week trek through many countries in Europe, lots of walking and running and was surprised how well my feet felt. I actually ended up tossing the pair of Keds I brought on that trip also because of how much the Keds hurt my feet! I haven't needed to resole them yet but my cobbler said they will be a "lifetime sandal ". I would highly recommend.

another way of doing this challenge is picking a random number each day and marking off that day within the 30, so maybe on day 1 you would do 27, day 19 you could do 3, so then you can leave the smaller amounts for days you are more busy

This is such a good idea and if I find myself playing this game again I will be doing this I think!

Shoes should definitely be counted as pairs (2 shoes = 1 item), and pieces of paper should just be a a stack of papers = 1. A little OCD to count each individual scrap of paper. Digital/email is also stretching it. My pit mix wasn't introduced to a hair dryer, a vacuum, fireworks outside on the 4th - he plays with the hair dryer and vacuum and slept through fireworks. If you had kids, they would be helicopter parented and need therapy later from their germ free environment. Relax. The home looks sterile and lacks warmth. Not cozy. Add a plant.

I still love my LV reverse monogram *yutulu* clutch! It's versatile, fits a variety of items, and is definitely a workhorse! I think seeing it everywhere (like the LV speedy) is proof that it's already a classic.

Like the video but would have preferred to see you fit all that in the backpack - I guess I'm skeptical - those toiletries and pouches were not small.
@JenniferLynnLife18 күн бұрын
Yeah a few people shared this wish. I wish I had too now! It did all fit. It was tight though and I wasn't able to buy a single thing to bring home because of it. I will say though, it only fit if I wore some of the clothes like I mentioned in the video so there were a few flights that were particularly hot where I put the layers I was meant to be wearing.. in a grocery bag strapped to the backpack. No issues! But theres the full truth.

For two people you shouldn’t need to go to the grocery store at all with the amount of food you have in the house.

@@JenniferLynnLifeI actually used this capsule as inspiration for what I took on a 2 week trip to Europe this past spring. I did carry on only and my friend who took TWO checked bags was incredulous wondering how on earth I kept showing up in different outfits from my tiny bag! 😂😂 I call that a win!

Have you tried laundry detergent sheets? I love them. I also use free and clear laundry detergent. The sheets can be torn to do a single item or two also. They are not liquid and thus much lighter too. 😉

I found that I could attach my sling to the side of my backpack in a way that it looked like all one bag. Avoided the chokeout maneuver, but only if you don’t mind switching to a sling vs a purse.
@JenniferLynnLife18 күн бұрын
Could be a game changer. I will say, very shortly after this video I realized I could wear the purse as a crossbody with the scarf covering the strap for the same affect with a bit more comfort haha.

I usually buy from a little shop in the airport and use that bag to sneak on a couple extra things, plus i usually have my camera and bulkiest lens around my neck, and maybe even a larger powerbank in my pocket. It's a bit of faff, especially if its hot inside and you're wearing layers for a winter trip to save on space running through an airport to make your flight - but it saves a fair bit when you add a few trips a year up!
@JenniferLynnLife18 күн бұрын
Iv'e been known to sneak stuff on the same way haha! Especially for national cheap flights. Yes! There were a few instances of it being too hot for the layers, I ended up shoving them in a grocery bag for the flight a few times. It all ended up working out well. I think I need more clothes with pockets.

I like your clever tip at the end. I like all of your ideas except don’t want to wear a bunch of layers and travel with clothes tied around my waist and to my bag on the flight. I would just take less and make it work.

I feel cheated that you never showed that mass of stuff ACTUALLY fitting into that tiny jansport backpack. I watched all the videos showing what you brought, but not a single one showed the bag packed. I have doubts, lol.
@JenniferLynnLife Жыл бұрын
You are not the only one, I feel so bad so many of you feel slighted. I promise it did all fit (with no room to spare). I did end up giving my top layer I was intending to wear on the plane to my hubby so I guess I cheated just slightly lol. I also ended up only packing 1 swimsuit.. not 2.
@candicewaller403 Жыл бұрын
This seems like a lot of clothes for 3 weeks. Curious how it went, if you thought you could get by with less, and if there's anything you wish you brought instead... Underwear is one of those highly polarizing packing topics, haha. There's the people who bring 25 pairs for a week-long trip versus the folks who bring as few as possible and handwash in the sink (that's me!). Never catch me giving up precious bag space for something as boring as undies, lol!
@JenniferLynnLife Жыл бұрын
Haha I am a 25 undie packer! As far as what I brought I used / needed everything except my swimsuit. With laundry accessibility.. no clothing dryers and all the different climates I was in, it ended up being the perfect packing list.

Loved this, glad it exists Textile recycling isn't available to me in a small town in British Columbia. One way I've tried to get around it is offering my husband's stack of ripped jeans on marketplace for free for people to repurpose into sewing projects
