A tip, in map 30 (of tnt) you can actually see the teleporters borderlines in the automap in the "maze" area where you telefrag yourself that's because GZDoom teleporters borderlines are different colors wich are blue (I know this is too late) also love this movie hope you can do Doom 2 corruption cards or the Masters levels

In the cast of characters at the end, there are 2 missing. But they are missing in regular Doom2. That is SS Guy from Doom 2 MAP31 & MAP32 Commander Keen from Doom 2 MAP32 For sure, one of these, probably SS Guy is the voodoo guy with a mask. But what does Commnader Keen end up as?

The level of creativity shown in this wad is incredible and at an equivalent level of what mouldy does (going down, overboard...). What is incredible is that by indeniably being and feeling 100% doom, it still makes forgetting we actually play doom thanks to the amazing rehandled aestetic of textures and assets. Amazing wad, and thanks for showing it off to the community since some members of it may have ignored its existence (I actually made make part of them).

For the before suit and leaky suit, the actual odds I say is about 0.03% or about 1 in 3300.

Can anyone help me understand why the last door in this arena won’t open for me?

I played this just this last week and this arena was the most brutal of level 1 imo. Before watching what you do, the thing that ended up working pretty well for me was starting by running around the room twice, using BFG on all the enemy groups, then clearing one corner and killing the cyber demon for access to the mega sphere and ammo, then I stayed in that corner until ammo was depleted there, then I ran around the inner ring where the revenants spawned to grab a mega sphere there and clear revenants (I also found out that the single brick of BFG in the middle ring is actually 6 stacked on top of each other), then I would clear a second corner and stay in that second corner for the rest of the fight. Definitely took quite a few attempts though 😅

Yep, watched a Coin run in full again... about five sessions sure, but still. Ggwp! I was really in doubt to pause this and play the wad myself but somehow watching you play is addictive and for a set like this I don't mind seeing someone else play it. Tons better than PD1 which I've honestly never finished, might give this a go myself someday 😂

I can’t really say why but pirate doom 2 really gives me redneck rampage vibes. It plays like doom, mostly looks like doom, but something about the atmosphere and the level design really gets me “nostalgic” for that old “gem” of my childhood. So odd.

Pirate Doom 2 sadly ain't even half as good as the first one: Levels feel less especial, guns are less unique, fights are less fun... Doesn't has the charm from the original Pirate Doom.

There is a certain level of advantage playing this on Fast - It will speed up the infighting and enemies will be less likely to corner you... I have the feeling that the Fast setting is easier than the Standard because of the bigger maneuvering space.

30:53 If I remember correctly, that humming noise is intentional. The creator of the map, Ty Halderman, used some map making trickery to simulate the sound of machinery coming from those panels. Basically, behind that wall there's a sector with a ceiling that is extremely close to the floor. This sector is tagged to act like a crusher. The crusher gets activated when you enter that area. So the noise in the alternate version of the area after the wormhole teleport is intentional as well.
