So the selling point isn't that they're nostalgic, charming, or fun to use and show people; the point is they're not electronic. If you had a safe to keep them in, a few sheets of paper could hold all that information and take up hardly any volume in the safe at all. Few people have safes in their house, and we can imagine they're typically going to be small more often than large. I'd get a rolodex for the sake of having a rolodex. They look like a nice way to organise contacts in a tangible way IMO.
@ConalRFАй бұрын
I highly suspect the true reason for the rolodex in this video is for the sake of having a rolodex, and the reasons provided are just rationalisations for making a personal preference sound like it's also the best choice for the practical purpose it serves when it objectively isn't. But what do I know?

Sorry to the video maker but here is your best tip: DO NOT STAY AT SANDALS. DO NOT GIVE THESE RIP OFF MERCHANTS ANY OF YOUR MONEY. SANDALS ARE SCAM ARTISTS! I have just returned from the Montego Bay resort for my "honeymoon" which SANDALS TRIED TO RUIN. DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU WANT: Food poisoning, the worst service in the history of time, the most expensive and pointless holiday of your life, a smaller room than holiday inn, the worst drinks that ever existed, INEDIBLE FOOD, to the point where you GO HUNGRY, no cushions in your room and them unable to source cushions from anywhere else, them to not talk to you about your complaints UNLESS YOUR HUSBAND IS PRESENT, BROKEN BEACH CHAIRS, AND A RUINED HONEYMOON. DO NOT GO HERE. DO NOT GO HERE. DO NOT GO HERE. IT WILL BE THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF YOUR LIFE. Go to Jamaica, it's great. Stay in the cheapest hotel you can find, go to a beach, meet the locals, eat the street food. DO NOT GO TO SANDALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TRUST ME! DO NOT GO HERE!

Great idea to put dumbbells below the hex bar, likely the best method for my home gym hex bar.

You should try only 3 stacks of hay & back support it with a horse stable mat in back. You could shoot an 80lbs draw weight bow w/ broadheads into one of those mats w/o shooting completely threw it. It's dense 3/4" rubber. So it will absorb the impact along with the friction caused by the hay. A 5'x5' mat will run you like $50.00 or $60.00, & prevent the more costly destruction or lose of arrows.
@viivcreations91613 ай бұрын
Those look extremely expensive, wouldn't a better solution is just a box of cat6 underground to a decent 80$ AP base for maximum full speed fiber access?
@maxirish3 ай бұрын
These weren’t too expensive when I installed them. I think they have doubled in price since then, like so many other things. Running cat6 would save you money, but it would require a great deal more time and effort. Like anything, you can spend either money or time. 🙂

Very good video. I was just wondering what size this rolodex model is and what size cards it takes? Here in the UK, Amazon seem to be the only seller, and they have 2 or 3 different ones, but the descriptions about sizes are useless. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you for this video. We are going to the new Saint Vincent resort in April and I’ve been watching tips and tricks videos. Most of them are made by travel agents with ties to Sandals and they don’t include the nitty gritty of the good and the bad. You had several good tips that weren’t mentioned in those other videos.

Glad it was helpful! While my wife and I love Sandals, I have no problem being critical of them when needed. I hope you have a great time in Saint Vincent!

It's unclear to me why so many in the prepping community think only in terms of prepping for massive disasters such as EMP or nuclear strikes. Sure, we should consider those possibilities and plan accordingly. But the chances of them happening are incredibly miniscule. In a massive, long-term global disaster this rolodex would become as useless as most other things. Now let's consider a much more likely scenario. If I were severely injured, incapacitated or killed, my wife/family could find all our important contacts in this rolodex without having to figure out where I store everything on my computer (which would be almost impossible for them). Also, some people still have land-lines which tend to remain functional during black-outs. We have one in our home for exactly this reason. We had a multi-day blackout several years ago and the only thing which remained functional was the land-line.

what will you be doing with people's *PHONE numbers* when you'd be in the middle of a global disaster whereby ALL people's phones have been WIPED clean and Not only contacts have been lost, but probably the ENTIRE software stack on the phone (iOS, Android) taken to the cleaners by the malware 😂😂. Who are you able to call since THEIR phones would be buggered up by the global malware 😁? But thanks for great video Max, most appreciated. Just thinking out loud out here 🥰🥰 Keep them coming and keep it up.

Wifi repeaters and extenders are two different animals from what ive read in the past. I’m using Google mesh WiFi, but installing almost like an access points. I’m running CAT 5e to each mesh device that are the furthest away from my main router, then connecting another mesh, not hardwired, between each hardwired one, like a branch, so my wireless mesh is bouncing strong signals from the others. Essentially giving me a redundant, and strong WiFi signal all around the house, yard, garage etc

Thank you for a Great video & description. Can you please clarify exactly what components you are using and how they are connected: Is your system = 1 Router with ethernet connection to your cable modem (?) + 3 Add-on Satellites wirelessly connected to your Router? I believe you have referred to your Satellites as "routers" and "extenders" but I think you mean Satellites? I have 4-Satellites in my 860 Mesh System, one wirelessly connected to the Router and the other 3 "daisy-chained"/"synched" to the one next closest and they work fine. However, I want to extend coverage by adding 2 more Satellites, but Netgear says 4 is the max you can add without degrading the wifi speed. Do you h ave any opinion/experience with adding more than 4? I believe you said one of your "satellites"? is 100' from the router? how far is your farthest away satellite from the router and is it "synched" to one of the other satellites??
