Trawling will never be sustainable. It is outright destructive and negligent. It has already been banned in many places across the world. It's an outdated method that funnels money to a few small corporations at the expense of the ecosystem. All trawling should be banned. There are better ways that support more people like pot and long line fisherman.

It's by no means to big. Literally every single trawler that uses gear like this in Alaska has 2 NMFS observers on board to make sure regulations are being followed.

@@fuzzylogic6876 USS is based out of seattle Washington. First time on ship you’ll earn x2 shares per share you will get (depending on species) anywhere around $500 per share to - $1200 per share. Truth that nobody tells you. Marry the boat and become deckhand to earn the real $$. You’ll see home 30 days at a time before they call you back if you are a deckhand
