What's the matter with the first battery dying so quickly? Bad battery pack or just not fully charged? Great video, very helpful 👍🏻

@@Modellbaustammtisch yes - I just uploaded a couple more full flight vids. Some batteries need to be”break in” before they last longer for some reason.

If I was outdoors and more room for the one or two helis that veered right on lift off I would have been ok. Maybe next time I will go to our field and do it there. This is possible and not a big deal - LOL

hi!, which rc era helicopter is your favorite? which one flys the best? thanks
@Flight66772 күн бұрын
IMO C123 flies the best. Followed closely by C190 and C189. The C187 and C186 are nice as well but they are not as nice. They all fly very nice indoors. the C123 and C189/C190 fly nice outdoors.

I did not do it for the likes. I was also curious. These helis are very tough and not a big deal for crashes like this - none broke and all are operational. But I agree, useless exercise LOL

Can this be used for 3D flying?
@Flight66773 күн бұрын
No - its a scale heli model that has a special pre-programmed feature to fly inverted. No other 3D stunts are possible. Which is ok as its a scale heli afterall.
One heli started going that way and I tried in a split second to correct but as you see when they hit each other all hell broke loose. Good news is that no real damage.

useless exercise LOL But it was interesting to me at least :) Don't do it inside in a basement with no room. I think this is possible outdoors for sure.

Took delivery of my RC ERA C123 helicopter. I fully charged brand new AMAZON AA batteries for the radio. The radio would not power up. Took a close look and inside the radio on the battery slots is printed 1.5 volt. Come to find out AMAZON AA lipos are rated at 1.2 volts. Put in fresh over the counter 1.5 volt standard batteries (non Lipo) and the transmitter fired right up. Just tryin to help others...

Does optical flow help or hurt with stability 10:21 10:24
@Flight66779 күн бұрын
Its a tossup. On some of the RC ERA helis it sometimes produces instability at low speed (C189 and C187) but it settles out. The YX helis like the F06 have better optical capability, but lack in other key performance criteria. So the RC ERA C123is super stable, with and without the optical flow IMO.

@@Flight6677 thanks a lot 🙂. To be a bit more clear: If i use one radio for C186 and C123 do I need to recalibrate every time i switch model or just bind and go ? I suppose the two models have different setting or not ? Thanks again in advance for your kind reply
@Flight667710 күн бұрын
@@dgiky no you don’t. You can do the level hover setting for each heli independently and each flight control unit will save its own settings. But if you didn’t go through this internal setting you will need to reset trim each time. As I show in the video the procedure is also called debugging. It’s nothing more than entering gyro programming mode.

@Flight667712 күн бұрын
@@jeffkraus1457 if you setup the gyro through the gyro debugging procedure where you get a level hover and save the settings no you do not lose the settings. However, if you just trim the heli without going through the debugging setup you will lose the trim setting.
