I've never understood why they only fixed this car and didn't do a full Restoration, the car now looks like it's got a new front and the rest looks like it's done a Dakar. I understand you wouldn't restore the winning car or even wash it but this one didn't even finish the race it was so badly damaged and now it's like they restored the front end only. Very strange!

Great video, you made a comment in the other video about Porsche cars starting after years of sitting. Is that true of all years? I have an SC that has been in storage for 7 years and I’m about to begin the preparation process for a first start. Any advice would be appreciated as to what you did before priming the 12 carbs on this one. Thanks!

Of these transporters only 3 were built. One is maintained in the United States and is in the original red and gray Porsche livery; Another retains its Porsche Gulf livery and is in the UK. Is this the 3rd? It is said that the third one is missing... If so, I think this would be the third one. Amazing...

Fans at the 1973 Laguna Seca Can-Am got to watch Penske Racing do a 917/30 engine change in the open paddock, in the few hours between Sunday's first heat and main event. It was quite an evolution, every team member was involved including the owner. They finished the job in much less time than it's done back at the shop! The Unfair Advantage is not just about machinery, but people.

Back in the day,,,,and just crossed the border as an immigrant. (in the 70’s) I saw one of this beauties in a magazine. I was so impressed that I started drawing the car, engine and try to figure how things worked on the car... English is not my forte, but mathematics doesn’t lie, so I became an engineer. Thanx for bringing childhood memories. Once a Porsche lover, you become a driver,,,,,everything else is just a car for transportation,,,,,

This same car is in the opening lap of the 1971 movie Le Mans! It is in the lead pack of about 12 cars. So cool to see it looking in it's original colors.
