Being a missionary is a great responsibility! The missionary must have great energy, fortitude and courage. Wherever the issionary goes, in whatever part of the world he is in, he must spread the Word. The local people must understand what the missionary is saying to them. The missionary must get the Word right to the people! Therefore, every missionary must know the language of the local people! To everyone who is going on a mission or preparing for one I would like to recommend a very good workshop by Yuriy Ivantsiv Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign language. This excellent book will give you answers how to correctly learn a foreign language with a minimum of your time and effort. This book answers many of the questions that everyone faces when learning a language. Good luck with your important work!

So sick! Hyperlapses are quite possibly the most satisfying thing to look at:) You used warp stabilizer, right?
@mckaykriser46766 жыл бұрын
WESTIN!! Dude right?! There are some super pretty ones out there! This helped me understand how they work! Its so cool! Haha, hey actually I didn't add Warpstab. I added warp stabilization and it DESTROYED it lol. The rocking at 4-5 seconds at the closer shot of the "R" gives it the perception of a warp, but that was actually just me being lazy and not fixing the rotation. I did have a tripod, but it was done fast so it basically acted as a monopod haha

How did you film the events on the field? Did u attach a action camera were u allowed on the field to film for a game
@mckaykriser46766 жыл бұрын
Yeahhhh! I went into a practice and hooked up the go pro to them. Just be sure to coordinate with the coaches and plan ahead. Thats also the same time I filmed the individual seniors while I had them running around with the Go Pro. But GET CREATIVE with those shots because you can do some sweet stuff with the POVs and a camera that small. I was not allowed on the field during the games. Some refs were even picky about being behind the goal, but only some. Something I would have done differently is use a telephoto lens + a fluid head tripod. That way you can get close with out being close. Those look golden.

DUUUDE (im assuming you may be making a highlight video haha) also tip for sports though that I found super helpful is to FILM TONS and get a VARIETY(even so varietied that its a way people never saw it!) Thats with any film making, it helps the engagement of the audience. A season highlight video isn't a season video if its just 1 or 2 games. Go to all the games you can and get those shots worth highlighting. Not only that, people notice when you put your work into something.

McKay, do you use some sort of gimbal/stabilizer or slider for your for your b- roll shots? -westin
@mckaykriser46767 жыл бұрын
WESTIN!!!!! Hey so YES and No. There are some pretty nifty tricks to getting a smooth shot. Some I use are holding the camera strap tight around your neck when filming, or if you can film on any wheels i.e. car, rollerblades, skateboard, bike. And then of course the film walk with your knees bent and arms steady lol. BUT... The slider does take the cake on getting smooth, cinematic shots. The "Warm Bed", "Shoes", "Breakfast", and "Eternal Families" were all shot on a slider. The rest of the shots in this clip were shot by hand:)
