It's actually pretty easy to shimmy and spd on stick. You just do the spd motion in reverse like you would a jump spd. You don't have to buffer the crouch. Anyways, good tips! I'm thinking of switching to leverless just to protect my hands in the long run.

Just tried this and I can confirm that for me it also didn't work when I killed the flamethrower guy on accident. I tried it a couple douzen times and it always looked like a part of my beam was just going straight through the floor without actually detonating. I assume that this is the part of the beam that actually destroys the floor because it detonates on hit with the enemy. Big thanks for the explanation. I would never have figured this out otherwise.

Do anyone who's wondering how to actually do this I have forgotten since I haven't played Metroid dread in a very long time but now that I know how to do it in my next playthrough I'll definitely be doing this but I've done it first try before so when you got to do is basically use the big guy as a metronome if you don't understand what I mean allow me to explain when the big guy up there goes past one black dot on the screen and the flamethrower dude is twitching that is when you are just fire it will immediately break the pink blob and allow you to get the space jump early no I have done this many times before my runs just to save more time to see how fast I can actually do it mostly a speed run my time with all the tricks I've learned from these is around about 3 hours and 15 minutes that includes fighting Raven beak which takes me about 4 minutes entirely yes I don't actually take too long killing Raven in fact I've decreased my time on killing Raven beak to literally 2 minutes but I have not played Metroid dread so long to be exact 2 years so I'll definitely be trying that again it takes a while but eventually you will get it I want you get it you never forget how to do it since I forgot how to do it though I guess I'm not one to talk😂😂😂😂

I'm French and I can confirm that the trailer of Feintan was subtitled in English at the Japan Expo. It's possible that you're right and the trailer was shot in France since the game hasn't been translated into French yet, but I hop it will.

I think the reason why Nobunaga is not in the game is because we didn't see his Hatsu in the anime, and the game is an adaptation of the anime. So it's clearly easier for the developpers to include Feitan rather than create a Special attack for Nobu.

I can't speak on the typo, but Feitan has a language barrier. Even in the anime/manga, Feitan speaks in broken "english". I'd like to think "Are you spider" is Kurapika mocking it as well hah

Also I think it makes sense they chose Feitan over Nobu cause they had more to work with. Nobunaga doesn't really have any major fights in the series. We don't even know his hatsu.

Okay, upon re-watching this 4 years later after having actually familiarized myself with beat-em-ups, that opening statement of saying they didn't age well is a pretty L take. The OG beat-em-ups from Capcom, SEGA, and Konami are some of the most well-designed games out there.

Braum's ult kind of froze the recording for a bit around 19:54, so I had to cut that part out. (I was essentially saying that adapting Braum's ult into a fighting game's 2D plane is easy considering it already moves in a straight line.) Also, I was so excited to watch the reveal that I forgot to lower the desktop audio capture below my own voice, so that's why the trailer is a bit too loud. I fortunately pause it almost every time I speak though, so I guess it works out, but I'll put subtitles on to help anyway!
