Long time has gone since I had this bike but still miss that engine some way

This one is my daily drive and so far I haven’t done yet long distances but have been doing medium routes with her and for me it’s fine! The bucket seat it is what it is although I don’t feel it that bad as it may sound from others descriptions and I can move a little on it, not much but I can and overall I can’t say that it is uncomfortable. I am 1.78cm and riding position also seems fine but comfort was much improved after changing the standard screen for a Puig Touring Screen although it is not yet ideal (but I am coming from a K1300GT with a tall screen on which riding at higher speeds I could barely feel nothing behind it - and miss that) Moving the bike doesn’t seem to me that bad too, most specially because I lost 60kg of weight on her from my previous K13GT

Eu venho de uma K1300GT e nunca tinha experimentado uma XR, em Fevereiro aguardo a chegada da minha em racing red 2, boas curvas!

Jose Nunes Viva Jose Nunes, por acaso estou a pensar vender a k1100rs porque perdi a cabeça e comprei uma k1300GT e ainda que idealmente gostasse de manter ambas, na verdade não faz sentido. A K1100RS é uma grande moto e um grande motor a prova de bala, eu sou suspeito mas não gosto da k1200rs, não a acho tão bonita e tenho lido que não é uma moto tão interessante de conduzir ainda que aparentemente tenha um pouco mais de potência. A 1100 com aquele look é muito mais exclusiva e será muito mais intemporal. Durante quase 5 anos tem sido o meu cavalo de batalha diário nas ruas de Lisboa mas basta colocar a top case e atiro-me para o Gerês, Algarve, Costa alentejana ou Espanha e é um prazer em estrada aberta, ela adora. Abe Ortega gosh what a comment, I am glad you are not my mother... Obviously I was with no helmet and no flip flops at all, completely barefoot which is excellent for the smooth gearbox of the k11! And about the turning signals here the police rewords with money to who doesn’t wear them at all. I would love to see you all pimped up with a suit gloves and everything with almost 40C to go to the beach. Don’t know if you have weight problems but with all the sweating that you would suffer you would make it to beach slim!! Enjoy your weals and good cornering over there wherever you are.

@@ManuelAleixo81 I got you beat. Then temperatures here in the California desert (were I live) can reach a whopping 49C and I still wear proper gear. However, the humidity is rather low. Wear what you like but, when the skin hits the pavement you'll wish you where wearing more protection. Be safe buddy. Abe

You forgot to mention the heat that these bikes generate on top of the sweltering heat. I have been riding for 50 years in the UK, Portugal, Spain, Italy and France and only have a K1100RS now and I have never owned all the gear: just boots and leather jacket (Helmet of course). Usually ride in shorts.@@ManuelAleixo81
