Italian cooks insist that you should NEVER NEVER NEVER put oil in pasta water. NEVER! I've known that for 15 or 20 years? Do you ever listen to Italian cooks? As they are the ones that made up the pasta dishes? They all say do not put oil in the water.

I have celiac. My children have hldq2 and one has hldq8. My child with hldq2 has a friend with a celiac mother, but does not eat gluten free. Now I am being constantly asked why we eat gf and “ it’s not fair” I cannot find ANY information on what to do if you have not presented with Celiac but have hldq2. My child wants to know why they can’t have it once a week or once a month since they are not celiac. It’s breaking my heart. I’ve explained that it’s about being at your best, you healthiest. They want to know exactly how much they can get away with. My child resents me now because of this new friend. Can you suggest a place to find an explanation that will resonate with a 14 year old? I live in a country that does not believe it affects the people of this country. I’m not from here. I can’t find a doctor to explain the situation.

I was previously ignorant of Coeliac Disease until I saw the reaction to Sharleen Spiteri appearing on BBC Saturday Kitchen. She clearly told the chef that she has Coeliac Disease, but he gave her gluten cheese on toast to eat anyway. 😮

If you have these symptoms only, you can consider yourself lucky. Try brain fog, joint pains, depression, reproductive problems, colon cancer. Or wherever your immune system desires to attack next 😢

Lower prevalence of DH in may also be due to wealthier people in the south east with access to private healthcare to discover gluten issues earlier and starting a gluten free diet earlier.

You could have made a pesto sauce quickly to add to the pasta . Lots of basil a handful of pine nuts 3 tbsp pecorino cheese and 3 tbsp extra vergin olive oil, you can put a clove of garlic if you like , salt abd blend everything and the sauce is made .

More education needs to be provided given the toxic nature of gluten. I put myself on gluten free diet after working out what foods were irritating the colon. It’s worth investigating !

Study prolamine proteins in grains. Just going free of Gliadin - typical prolamine protein doesn't have to help.

What would be the genetic component for a gluten sensitivity status? Does s gluten sensitivity affect the stature of a person given that, there is malabsorption of many needed nutrients, minerals and possibly vitamins.

As it states on your website that you no longer consider barley malt vinegar to be GF, it may be worth considering removing or updating this video? if I had not looked into this further or come back to check the publish date on this video it could have impacted my Ceoliac partner's diet, as I could have been exposing them to gluten without realising.
