Ziran is a very difficult method to put into into practice as a method of governing. There is a chinese webnovel where the main character is a daoist priest who manages to cultivates in the real world, via a game world mostly based on the Journey to the West; over time, he becomes an immortal and makes the other daoist priests benefit a bit. But mostly, he acquires the reputation of being Yuanshi Tianzun (apparently, in that setting of Journey to the West, only Taishang Laojun exists and the 2 other Pure Ones & Hongjun Daozu don't), this is because he can transport things from one world to the other, and uses it to become not only wealthy, but to support his cultivation in a fast and effiscient manner. He greatly benefits from incense fire offerings, since that's his source of income for immortality cultivation (like the Souls in Dark Souls, which have a dual purpose of XP and money), but also from access to modern commodities such as genetically modified seeds, steel industry to mass produce weapons and armours for his mortal minions, and so on. Eventually, his miracles get noticed, from stopping meteorites to healing people... of course, many want to quit their job (or studies) to become daoist priests in the hope of cultivating immortality; but he decides to prevent it proactively, and the daoist officials openly claim that there is no such thing as immortality cultivation, and that the method they teach are for health benefits and such. This is because the main character doesn't want the modern world to become a fantasy setting, for it would no longer be useful for trading with the Saiyuki world and support his cultivation. Why I am speaking about all of this, it is because the situation of the modern world truly beggars the question: why are the ascended immortals and gods allowing our world to go to shit? Sanatana Dharma believes that Kali Yuga is both vital and necessary, a cosmic out-breath ; but what about Daoism? Why would immortals let it be? Because they don't want to interfere with the mundane world? Because they can benefit from this mess? No matter how one looks at it, the situation isn't right, because things and people are not being established in an harmonious conformity with their nature. Ultimately, only great spiritual power would allow Ziran to be put into practice as a method of governing. Perhaps only 天 can rule this way due to material limitations of humans.

Great explanation. It's even deeper than many Chinese resources. I like your channel!

Thank you for the open perspective of this video. Unfortunately, from a buddhist practitioner’s perspective, I must say that yes, as you say there are some bias, which are those of a exotericism and magic specialisation. In fact, I find mandatory to say that the goal of Vajrayana is to reach liberation, not powers, and that an initiation from a qualified master is essential. I mean, I see more a “magic” perspective, while we’re talking about a soul liberation practice, not for ourselves, but for the benefit of all sentient beings, to open our hearts to others without any attachment to any wordly attainment. That said, thank you so much, all your videos are incredibly informative and insightful. I hope this might help

I'm a "Rationalist" / "left brain heavy" etc. What's the "logical" reason to use the I Ching? I'm open minded and would really like to know.

Another great video! I’m sure the six sages would be proud of you 👏 Btw, have you done any videos on Mo Zi or Mohism? I read a book called the Magus of Java and it has made me interested to learn more about him.

Fantastic video, with great detail, and comparative comprehension. Thank you so much. Interesting is the comparison with the western culture: in Roman literature (I’m Italian) we can find many references to a similar concept: please just have a look to Seneca’s “De rerum natura” and “Proevidentia”, or to the thoughts of Marcus Aurelius. Thank you so much, very insightful 🙏🏻

So Gottfried Leibniz plagiarised the I Ching :( that's sad there are many like him that have stolen others work, like Thomas Edison stealing from Nikola Tesla, even if history is trying to deny it.

I feel total resonance with your exploration of Ziran 自然 and the personal embodiment of Wu Wei - thank you for your thorough exploration of the topic and your personal cultivation so as to be able to transmit it - especially to me as an English speaker!! I'm 4 years into a Qi Gong training and enjoying the exploration of 5-Element theory - I'm getting deeper each season. At this time (Wood into Fire) I am enjoying focusing my Heart Spirit (Shen) on embedding into my Kidney (Jing) by aligning my Zhi with my inner Vision (Liver). I am also noting the tendency to express my excess creative energy in a flash, and would rather, this Cycle, see it as an opportunity to move the Yang deeper in to nourish the Kidneys through the Winter. What are you feeling about the Seasonal tides? :]
