This is from Greek mythology. The creature is Medusa, a beautiful once lady who was cursed to become a monster.

Heat seeker missiles? Heavy armor rockets? Jets? Bombers? SAM’s? etc.?

So, it’s either recruits day where they sent soldiers fresh of the academy into this battle, or the army was to afraid of civilian casualty in the crossfire, like the apache using the turrets instead of missiles or the Abrams firing few rounds. Always dumb freaking people running in the streets during a war instead of hiding in the building, making difficult for the soldiers to properly fight the enemies.

Even as a kid, all I could think about was what a horrible person that girl who left Alan in the game was. Aww, a few bats came out. You were scared. She made NO attempts EVER to save him? Couldn't go to an adult and try to explain it even if it sounded crazy? Tried to play the game? If I were Alan all I'd have on my mind was revenge.

I have been reading these books for more than 20 years and this show is just absolute garbage. I don't care if they have to change something here and there, but this isn't even the books anymore. My dad enjoyed the show because he never read the books. So I told him I would watch it with the mindset that I never had and even then I couldn't get it out of my head how bad all of this was. Where was Rand in the skies above Tarwin's Gap? Where was the pool of Sidin? The Green Man? Elane? Thom only showing up in White Bridge? WTF is all of these changes? Killing Loyal? (couldn't move on to season 2 so if he isn't really dead, good, but even still) and him being a pacifist? He was an amazing warrior! The ruined characters, they jumped the gun on things to add more sex and nudity. I could keep going on, but all of this was a big waste of my time to even humor my dad...
