Honestly I prefer the MP-11 mold for the coneheads because if you look at their animation models they're way more boxy and closer to the shape of the original toys. Only the original seekers have the more curvy cartoon design.

It could be the balaclava ski mask he had in the comics, or they could do the balaclava mask and include a plastic rubber hood to slide over his head. Be very careful with your vac metal SilverHawks. I received a quicksilver through Super7 and the vac metal already chipped off the shoulder joint as soon as I got it out of package. That plastic shell casing is a pain. Mine also didn't arrive with the traditional slip cover for some reason. Beautiful figure though. Love mine but again, be very careful.

That yellow is a color of nylon that you would think Magic Square would have sense to avoid because of how ugly it is, it looked awful for Bumblebee, and it looks even worse as an accent color here. (Guess MS learned NOTHING) Worse yet, they didn't include a flame blast effect part, yet they have a port for it in the T-Rex mouth. Prices. MS Tyrannosaurus Rex is 70 at ShowZ, NA Ymir original recipe was also 70, with the toy color being 73. But, but, big ol' ghetto BUTT!! There still exists the KO of the NewAge (it seems that the only one currently available, however, is the toy color one. 🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️), and that undercuts all of'em...so idk, I may just go with that NA KO...

I wish Hasbro would release an identical reissue of the G1 Prime.

I got the Newage toy version, but was very disappointed in the articulation, specifically dino mode, and the mess left with the legs. I bought Newage Sludge to get the covers, but still didn't care for the aesthetics - I feel he looks thin, like a cosplay rendition. When MS popped up for order, I jumped on it, even though toon versions aren't my first choice. But I hand painted him, which fixed the loose butterfly joint and made him shine above Newage to me. Now he's got paint and the superior articulation.

While the like the design of Magic Square better, I stopped collecting them as NewAge just looks and feels better in hand because of the paint, diecasts and nice plastics compared to compress l colored nylon from Magic Square. No regrets as NewAge's Dinobots looks fantastic as I'm getting the toy look with some exceptions as I also got Shattered Glass Swoop and I'll be getting the redeco of Slag as well. As for Grimlock's inner leg piece, that came with Sludge and it makes him look so much better.

Just received "New Grimlock Autobot Dinobot Knight 8809 Action Figure Deformabl Robot Toys 5" off of Ebay today. It has a real nice weight, plastic is very good, and it has really nice paint. I would say it is probably easily the best legends Grimlock on the market. It's like combining the MS toon asthetics with the Newage paint/plastic/quality. It is sharp.

I'm pretty sure they have announced they will release all 3 but whether we like the look or not ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

I also wonder why DS Starscream was back on preorder on Show.Z… I went ahead and preorder this KO Thrust, even though I don’t collect KOs. It may be the only way I get the Coneheads MP scale, because the Zeta one are expensive af in the aftermarket. I’m still holding hopes that DS do them; with fit better in my collection since they’re taller than Takara MP’s versions of the seekers. I have the DS for the OGs.

I skipped the cartoon versions of the newage so I could pick these up. I think newage sludge is a nightmare to pose… his toes don’t even touch the surface he’s standing on, it’s so annoying.

I dont like any of those Grimlocks in bot mode. This new one and Super7 look great in dino mode. That metallic crap on the others and all that red garbage on his arms is atrocious. That Swoop is amazing. Give me a Grimlock that is of that quality in bot mode. The colors are perfect and the bot is also exactly right.

Don't like the chalky yellow and the tolerances are not great on my copy, but I do love the bulkiness and the transformation is novel for a Grimlock, to me, which I dig. The Robot forearm has an additional transformation step that pretty much everyone misses because the instructions are very unclear on that part.

That's the worst looking Grimlock I've ever seen, as if it was poorly 3D printed. King Grimlock will surely be disappointed

The cartoon improved on a few characters like Ratchet, Ironhide, Wheelie, Galvatron & Wreck-Gar. But when it comes to Dirge, Thrust & Ramjet, I'm sticking with *TOY ACCURACY.* I despise the coneheads! They transformed the G1 toys wrong. Something Transformers fans usually hate. Then they put them in the cartoon & made them official canon & now the Transformers fans love it. The definition of a *HYPOCRITE!* Say one thing but do another.

I love my MP Coneheads, but next to the MP-52 mold, they are certainly showing their age. I'm down to get this and hope the other two get announced!

Got mine preordered, taking the plunge, hopefully its good in person for my first conehead. May not be 100% toon accurate, but still looks great. As for DS, I think I read in the past couple days there are rumors of them coming back, but I won't hold my breath until I see concrete evidence.

I have a question: in '84 I got a bunch of transformers for Christmas including Starscream and Thundercracker, but I kinda lost interest a few months later (I had Ratchet and Ironhide, it didn't help) so I've never held the coneheads in person. The cone of the seekers goes backwards, was this option available on the original Thrust and Ramjet, or was the cone permanently on their head? Thanks!

MP 10 was the greatest toy ever made

G1 Fireflight was based upon the US McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II fighter-bomber jet. An early prototype for the plane, the XF3H-G Super Demon concept, actually had the wingtips and horizontal stabilizers sticking straight out to the sides just like you prefer here, because they thought it looked good that way too. But windtunnel testing showed that that configuration was unstable, so they added the zigzag dogtooth notch in the wing leading edge and added up-angle or dihedral to the wingtips, and bent the stabilizers downward, to make the plane stable. They also added a second cockpit seat before it was decided to consider the result an all-new plane, the Phantom II. Best I can tell, the specific variant of Phantom that G1 Fireflight was supposed to represent was the F-4J, which had a naked under-nose area. There was no sensor or cannon pod fairing down there. A later variant, the F-4S, was very similar, with only a tiny little nubbin in front of the nose gear door. You wouldn't even notice it if you didn't know to look for it. And a few of F-4S airframes also had the ignoble distinction of having been selected as missile target drones for the US Navy (redubbed the QF-4S). Their drone planes received a variety of high-vis paintjobs, almost always including bright red and silver. Over time, the silver oxidized to gray, and at a distance, it looked white. My very best guess is that G1 Fireflight was modeled after a red-and-white-looking QF-4S. Fanstoys Viper uses a bit of a protruding fairing under the nose, in front of the nose gear. I think this most closely resembles the camera housing of the RF-4B/C variants. And this makes a lot of sense, because Fireflight's official function was Reconnaissance. This would be a case of a redesign actually making more sense than the original mold. (That wouldn't explain the bright-ass red paint, though!)

To be honest! Anytime I see youtubers say stuff like this 3rd party company went under, and they had a fire sale. I just take that as an opinion. Noone really knows with 3rd party or KOs. These companies are just constantly rebranding or finding investors or backers, waiting for factory time before they can begin production.
